I learned that this season with the Pronovost, honestly if I could've done it over again last fall when I purchased my new 92" Cyclone with wings. I would've purchased another Normand N100 instead. In my region, very very few dealerships will deal with Pronovost. Purchasing a new blower out of province wasn't a positive experience for me.
Where abouts are you I'm just starting out and considering this same thing just smaller
@@hoocli New Brunswick
my kubota dealer sellsdifferent snowblowers pronovost, kubota, puma, normand blowers but he stopedselling normand because so many issues and cots alot down times and pronovost, kubota, puma are cheapest blowers and cheapest parts
Few observations/questions:
Why do you guys opt to tow a stuck tractor out by wrapping a strap around the chute? Kinda creates the wrong angle and just lifts the front wheels off the ground no? Why not run the strap to a shackle in the hitch area under the pto?
Why do some of your guys cut the corner on the last pass of the driveway? Aren't you catching the grass?
What looked like it was hanging down on the left side between the blower and the tire on the 6060? Visible on each pass 13:00-14:00 before you walk right up behind it.
Do your guys do pre or post dispatch inspections on the units? It always seems that you have a handful with a light(s) out. Also why not have the operators brush the fallen snow off of the tractors before heading out? Looks sloppy.
I run 4series Deere's and Normand Hybrids. I run Tivar edges and swapped out the rubber skid shoes for Tivar as well. Had a spring shop make me up a handful of skid shoe springs to replace the weak Normand springs. Seems the Normand springs break when blower is leaned too far forward, no issues with aftermarket springs. Have never broken a chain or even a shear pin. Solid units all around. Scrape quality equal to competitor using pronovost with stainless and better than another using rubber. Nothing against Kubota and pronovost but let's not pretend like they are God's gift to residential snow clearing just because you're getting a sweet deal from them 👍
If it works like where I live. If the city decides to declare a snow emergency. In my case you cannot park on any street during the event. What do you do there. I think that your guys are awesome about the equipment that is fully functional. I think that they are using good judgment. I bet that the wiper motor is cheaper than hitting a vehicle or property that could be possibly damaged by the tractor.
Plastic shield on the driveshaft keeps the weeds from wrapping the front driveshaft for those guys who bush hog those 2 foot plus tall weeds. Snow no problems on the driveshaft in your case.
Time for a new smoke alarm battery! It’s only been beeping for half the season
It’s not a smoke alarm battery …
thats like one guys did with the new l4760 put her in the ditch but it was lucky got it self out with the loader on it thank goodness @@Stefano_Narducci
Another great one. Looking to stay busy between rounds of golf? Seems like your getting into the grass cutting game? I see you kitting out that chevy with ramps and air bags?
Absolutely
Where did you order the northern snow stake covers from?
Keep your windshield cold and you dont need wipers on. I dont know if you can do it with the tractors tho because the heat vents are on the roof by the windshield. It works really good in a plow truck and keeps wipers from icing up.
Great videos you're doing!!!
Dont watch anything on tv, i use a projector to look at all your work.
So, I'm going back a year and looking at your work.
Love the videos man. One question. Do you get down pressure with those unit or is it like a plow where it just floats?
Down pressure
Hi Stefano first I'm jealous your having snow we're not second I don't understand how your guys braking so many windows especially the rear side window I've been doing snow removal for over 20 yrs some times when it was -45c and I never busted a window it's just beyond me Yves from Eastern Ontario
You should look at videos for how many feet of snow there is in California I was watching a video yesterday in order for people to get out of their homes they 0:00 have to be on the Second level apparently there's 12 ft of snow in California does several videos on UA-cam
Whats your opinion on normand vs provonost cyclone
Need to still make a comparison video!
Speak to your landlord about that chirping sound it is ridiculous
