    I didn't notice this the first time: He addresses her as "Sie", which is normal when addressing a stranger, but she addresses him as "du", which is familiar. That makes the encounter even weirder for him. She is either crazy, or she knows him well enough to use "du" very naturally.

    • @rinmartell2678
      @rinmartell2678 3 роки тому +38

      Yes! Also at that time period people would address eachother with „Du“ only if they really know the other person well.
      I mean nowadays it is not that rude to address strangers with „Du“ unless you are speaking to a much older person or someone at work. So it must be really strange for Egon, especially in that period that a stranger is addressing him with „Du“.

      And apparently TV and actors in Germany usually aren't all that good. At least I keep seeing Germans say that. But yet they managed to not only cast good actors in every single role here, they also got good actors who look insanely alike. What are the chances?

      The acting in the entire show is fantastic, or at least it seems that way to me, not knowing any German. What really amazes me is that every character really feels consistent across the various timelines, even with 2 and in some cases 3 different actors. They really do feel like a single person. Especially the actors who played Ulrich, Mikkel, and Helge. And Katharina, and Hannah, Elisabeth... Really just incredible acting all around.

      It's timed perfectly by Old Claudia so Egon has just enough time to shake the weirdness of the whole experience, and finally relaxing at home only to have the experience taken to the level. It then never leaves his mind the rest of his life, so he CAN recognise who the white witch really is at the end of his life. That's something so cool about this show. The first time you watch it you're confused, and you're busy trying to piece things together. But after getting to the end and revisiting scenes like this, you realize just how emotional a lot of scenes really are. It might have been quicker to leave Claudia and Egon's interactions after his death, but the fact that after everything, even after she went to Adam to tell him about the true origin, she still went back to her father to apologize shows just how much what she did stayed with her.
