Haha I use an S612 live and totally use the mic/line input as an additional input for my setup
I'm glad you addressed the thing with the mpc 2000(xl) I often wished there was a OS update that made the pads chromatic to keys and also change (drum roll here) the time signature beyond your 4/4 triplets. Think _/8 or 13/_.
What's up man!!! I don't think any MPC does that with internal samples. Maybe the newer ones might. I'm not certain.
@@TheDaydreamSound you're right, but imagine the possibilities if it was made doable. Wild jazz timing on some Mahavishnu ish.
Awesome
Thanks!!!
Hey!
So you know those pedals that guitar players use, yeah? Ok. So can they be hooked up to an MPC to use them on samples and sounds??
@Obscure Juntz
Cool. Because I was going to play around with record samples and those pedals to do some sound design. That way you can use samples, disguise them and create custom sounds. Cool, thanks.
isn't there a way to assign a sound its own midi channel on the 2k? been a minute since I had mine but I thought that there is a way to get chromatic playback, might be wrong tho
fuckJuly
You are correct, There was an os update that brought chromatic midi mode to the 2000
so are you saying its not good to put a input in the s612 though a input better to put it though the disk? trying to understand if you can just play though the s612 all these series AKAI racks or is it mainly just used as the sound come though a disk and is loaded not played though?
I've plugged a big emu synth into a mpc snd it chromaticly ĺaid the synth voice I had selected on the synth into the mpc pads. ... kind of the opposite of what ur trying to do tho. But maybe if u used another sampler( keyboard) it would do what u want only to the mpc
Yep! You can chromatically play a MIDI instrument but not an internal sample past the 16 level pitch mode.
I know at alot about ASR10 I had for 13yrs
Did you just found out that the MPC2000 is only chromatic? and also that digital boosting is not good?...
What put me on please
