Fair play to you both for taking in the not so glossy parts of Mumbai, we could all learn from how they re-use and recycle stuff we just throw away. So thank you for such a interesting insight into everyday life there, very enjoyable.
Hi Stephen, we find it important to get a well rounded view and to discover the communities within Mumbai. It was fascinating to see all the industries happening here and the positive spirit of the people living there. Yeah you are right, if there was nobody taking our waste away we would soon realize just how much we throw away. Really glad you enjoyed the episode 😊👍
Thank you! We always try to approach places like this with respect and an open mind. It's important to show all sides of a country, not just the touristy parts, and to learn from the people we meet along the way.
It's near unreal how people in the big cities of India know how to live there lives. Very entertaining to watch and here the stories of you and the guide.
The contrasts of how people live in Mumbai is unbelievable 😳. It was such a privilege to be able to be guided through the community by someone who is from there. Glad you enjoyed it 😎👍🏻
That was an extremely humbling experience. It’s embarrassing that we as Westerners are so hung up on insisting we have the latest and most sophisticated gadgets when there are people such as you’ve just shown in many cases barely with any possessions to note. And yet they are industrious and very resourceful.
Yeah it really was! You are spot on there and it really does bring things back into perspective. The resourcefulness was indeed so very impressive, it seemed they could make anything out of nothing.
Yeah it really did, our guide was fantastic and from the area so was able to give us a great insight into the city. Totally recommend them if you’re ever in Mumbai. 😎👍🏻
I just love to see these kind of videos. The difference in culture, but yet people wherever if they are from Europe or Asia still are just as friendly. Great episode 😊
So true! It doesn’t cost anything to be friendly and often those with nothing are the most cheerful. Fascinating to how industrious this city in a city is! We only got a small glimpse into the workshops and trades here. Motorcycle repair shops were impressive too. Grad you enjoyed it and always nice to hear from you 😊
I went to Mumbai myself and it's pretty hardcore, espeically if you are from EU/Switzerland. However, the food I've eaten there is still my all time favourite food ever and I'm always chasing down the authentic indian restaurants in Europe
Great you’ve visited Mumbai too! Indeed it was hardcore and we jumped straight in at the deep end 😁. Food was fantastic, if you’re ever in Manchester check out the ‘curry Mike’ 😋. Next episode is a good tour: ua-cam.com/video/HSOCzvVx0VU/v-deo.htmlsi=IjMGFkENjmuwmR08

Hi David, Mumbai was our first stop on our motorcycle tour of South India. Although 3 episodes this was all filmed in the same day. In Tomorrows episode we pick up the bike from BMW and start our tour, first heading to Goa via the countryside. It’s going to be fun 😉

Haha no hiding those facial expressions 😁. Yeah that sounds about right 30p for 3 people us pretty good! Glad you enjoyed it and we look forwards to taking you back to India 😊👍🏻
@@SeanandEmily we had been going for over 30 years first for 3 weeks, then four then when we retired 6 months every year for 8 years. We were brought home by military plane and dropped at Stanstead during covid. My son had to drive down from Scotland to get us as London was on lock down. We do a month in Turkey now and 2 months in Lanzarote each year. Closer to home but we do miss it. The people make it
Wow you must have really made sone string ties with the country. Turkey sounds like a good alternative -hoping to tour there next year. Yeah the people of India are lovely 😊
Not saying nothing bad happens but we see more crime in an hour in Paris than a week in Mumbai. The tour guide that took us through is from there and our safety was his prime concern 😎👍🏻
As a German I invite you to visit Crackfurt ( sorry it's Frankfurt). I dare you to venture outside Banhoff in broad day light let alone travelling late at night. The streets are infested with junkies.
hy just came to know from your about section that you guys are from switzerland did you know In May 2016, a bronze statue of Yash Chopra (a bollywood director of India who used to shoot the romantic songs of his movies at the different locations of Switzerland) was installed by the Switzerland government as a tribute, near the Congress Centre in Interlaken, which is now a popular tourist spot among the indian tourists who goes to switzerland.
Why you travel there is beyond me , does it make you feel better when you get back to Switzerland 🇨🇭 😏 you should travel to Bradford uk 🇬🇧 that is Shit hole with the same people for half the price 😂
A very interesting video, seeing these things recalibrates one's definition of 'awful'. A lot of my peer group live in a [LinkedIn management speak/workaholic Karen] bubble and get very militant about absolute tosh. Please stay safe and have a sooper dooper adventure 🙌🌟🤗
Recalibrate is a great way to put it! So true, really makes one think about how ‘difficult’ things really are. Thanks very much! This tour really is a great adventure. Food tour episode next and then we pick up the bike! 😊

Worth watching this for the expressions on your faces lol. Roughly 100 rupees to the £1. So I think your train ticket was 30p lol. Great video and making me “ home sick”
Refreshing lack of hi-viz vestige 😃
and every other type of safety equipment 😉
You are crazy, would not ever go there what I have heard about those ppl/men there.
Mumbai is no worse than any big city. Obviously keep your whits about you
Not saying nothing bad happens but we see more crime in an hour in Paris than a week in Mumbai. The tour guide that took us through is from there and our safety was his prime concern 😎👍🏻
As a German I invite you to visit Crackfurt ( sorry it's Frankfurt). I dare you to venture outside Banhoff in broad day light let alone travelling late at night. The streets are infested with junkies.
hy just came to know from your about section that you guys are from switzerland did you know In May 2016, a bronze statue of Yash Chopra (a bollywood director of India who used to shoot the romantic songs of his movies at the different locations of Switzerland) was installed by the Switzerland government as a tribute, near the Congress Centre in Interlaken, which is now a popular tourist spot among the indian tourists who goes to switzerland.
oh wow, we didn't know that -we will have to look out for it 😎👍
Why you travel there is beyond me , does it make you feel better when you get back to Switzerland 🇨🇭 😏 you should travel to Bradford uk 🇬🇧 that is Shit hole with the same people for half the price 😂
Wait, you haven’t seen our Bradford vlog? Crazy road, mad traffic, Michelin-starred Greggs… it’s a must-see!
