fun fact: this camera, the kodak M35/M38, Agfaphoto 35, Ilford Sprite 35-II, are all identical and come from the same factory that being said I love these guys, especially for hiking, cycling, running. They are perfect everyday carry cameras so you don't have to put your heavy Nikon FM or Canon P at risk
Do you always need a film roll? Sorry I really have know idea about this kind of camera. I just want to get one and I find this on the market. Please bare with me.
The film roll is like the sd card in digital cameras but the difference is that u can’t see the picture immediately (only after revealing the roll (chemical process u pay someone to do (some pharmacies do that) and then they give u your roll back and the pictures) and instead of having like 64gb of memory, u get for example 36 shots/frames = 36 pictures (36 is the max amount of pics u can get in a roll but it depends on the roll u buy since it can have 24, 26 (and a few other predefined amount of shots that I can’t remember rn). If u don’t have film, there is no picture basically. Hope this helped :)
