@SniperMaske Ahh yes, this is the Editor's choice version of the game, which includes some new vehicles. That vehicle was the Paladin tank. It's kind of like a Goliath, got a bit more armor, an impenetrable shield when you have it up. (Though you can't fire at the same time) and a slower projectile.
It was for showcasing how much health and how many hits the Leviathan could take from even the Darkwalker's incredibly powerful beams. What else would it be for?
Very nice video, brings back memories. I've never liked the leviathan too much, tho. This thing is just designed to hold the trigger and lay back, until you somehow got destroyed. I liked the Goliath very much. After lots and lots of practise it's possible to place very accurate shots with this super fast projectile, even at moving targets. I liked the Paladin very much too, it's projectiles where slower and weaker, but it's got no spread at all.
Okay, I was just wondering. And it looks like the leviathan's ion cannon instant kills everything in both games, except for a node or another leviathan. The AI doesn't seem to handle it to well though.
@Vyporware I remember the Goliath had a very very little of spread, but you could compensate that with skills. A reusable Redeemer? The singularity weapon is much stronger that the redeemer from what I remember. In addition, much bigger radius.
@gregordiesel Yeah, I like the Leviathan because... Honestly, why not? That much power, and a beam like a reusable Redeemer. It made you feel like you were God. But yes, I am quite fond of the Goliath as well, I especially loved how fast and accurate the projectile was. You could SNIPE PEOPLE. With a TANK.

The Leviathan in UT reminds me to the Mothership from Command&Conquer : Tiberium Wars , both use the similar gun and explosion .

I always used to dub that tank the "NEWBSAUCE" Just because of how overpowered it felt in my hands.

@gregordiesel Well of course, but what other examples would I be able to provide that ISN'T the Redeemer?
Not really, it's ion cannon has a smaller AOE, but it has a higher rate of fire, and in stats per code, it has more health.
So what was the footage of the darkwalker for?
