Imagine if it was the first pokemon to use two abilities at the same time and got huge power then huge power plus simple oh and lets say it got extreme speed
I find these videos really interesting and helpful, but honestly, my favourite part is the nicknames you give them. 'The Beave'? 'Justin Biba'?! I'm done, it's amazing lmao
One little gimmick buff you could have mentioned is this terrain seeds especially the ones that boosts the special defense this way you get a plus two boost you special defense making the curse set a lot more viable in my opinion granted it needs team support but running psychic Terrain and Misty terrain aren't exactly the worst things a team can do
@@sushant8149 Doubles maybe? But meh, setting up like that is quite difficult in doubles, and Psychic Terrain blocks Bibarel's Aqua Jet and Quick Attack.
Superpower is quite amazing too. Attack and defense drop but you can obviously run a powerful all out pummelling if he wasn't worrying about jellicent.
Nice to see one of if not the best HM users of Gen 4 getting a video. Another good one was Kangaskhan w/Scrappy. Thank goodness Bibarel gained access to Swords Dance, Liquidation, Crunch, Stomping Tantrum, and Aqua Jet in Gen 7. Some abilities that I think could replace Moody are Strong Jaw, Fur Coat, Fluffy, Oblivious, or Cheek Pouch. Below are some moves that I think we be nice for it to learn in the future: Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch(gets access to Thunderbolt and other Electric-type attacks), Tail Slap, Muddy Water, Drain Punch, Fake Out, Hydro Pump, Aqua Ring, Knock Off, Body Slam, Iron Head, Play Rough, Power-Up Punch, Psychic Fangs, Recycle, Retaliate, and Seismic Toss
I was 11 or so when the first game came out for the ps2, and there was a trailer for it on one of those demo discs game stores used to send out. I wasn’t initially interested, but a buddy of mine (who’s parents got him a PS2 just because of his excitement for this game) turned me on to it eventually. We got walled by Kut Ku for about three months, as we apparently both had terrible pattern recognition and/or hadn’t found any weapons that clicked. One night, after hours and hours of trying, I managed to beat it (just barely, mind you), and I got so excited I puked on my friend’s carpet. From then on, MH has been my favorite series- I’m bashing my head against a particularly nasty quest in GU as we speak lol. Such a great series, have either of you fellows tried Monster Hunter Stories? I find it blends Pokémon and MH pretty well
If I were actually trying to "rough it" through an uncharted expanse of wilderness then I'd want a Bibarel with me. Every time. Another Great Video! Love hearing about what Pokémon can do
Finally some Bibarel hype! I will never forget utilizing a Curse set on a trick room team back in 5th gen. After max SpDef and Curse, some simple team scouting can tell you when to set it up. Love the videos! Keep it up.
I've been playing Battle Revolution and in that game they give you a Unaware Bibarel with Swagger and Double Team. Its really fun, and gave me the idea to run a similar Quagsire set in USUM. Unfortunately the severe confusion nerf in Gen 7 has pretty much squashed Swagger shenanigans with Unaware. Its not really worth running on anything anymore unless you have access to Foul Play. Also, Bibarel in that game is uncanny and creepy AF.
Love this Mon, I use one with this info: Ability: Simple Moves: Return, Waterfall, Swords Dance, Yawn(Z-Yawn) Item: Normalium-Z Seriously makes him dangerous, Boosts speed and makes the opponent decide to stay and suffer sleep or swap out, he gets a Sharp rise to speed and then you Swords Dance and wreck face lol
R M when your opponent is asleep, Priority doesn’t matter, plus you get that Speed boost. And if you swap Waterfall for Liquidation, then their Def falls with every attack
Personally, I'd go with Curse instead of Swords Dance cause it's got potential to be a Physical Tank. Not to mention two priority moves it learns. Biba's a perfect living meme.
I think it is worth a mention that due to how the damage calculations work increasing attack doesn't mean you'll always do damage proportional to the increase
What about Z-Yawn? Wouldn't it allow you to set up comfortably and give you a speed boost? I mean, you get the speed boost and force the opponent to either switch out or finish of the bibarel and be put to sleep, and if the bibarel survives it can set up for a +6 on attack
This is another potential set, but I think any set is inferior to SD plus 3 attacks, and if I'm sacrificing a moveslot, I'd rather be getting more power than easier set up so I prefer rain dance. But Yawn definitely has merit
I had my eyes openned to this guy in a UU battle where it used swords dance as my mega blastoise switched in, used return and swept my team with aqua jet..
Bibarel is a neat pokemon, since you don't expect much out of it being a first-route rodent, but it's actually got a lot of neat stuff up its sleeve! er, buckteeth.
Weird suggestion but, you can give Bibarrel the Muscle Band to increase power to its physical moves by 1.1 it isn't much but the slight boost to power adds up without removing 10% of HP, or alternatively Black Glasses, Expert Belt, or Mystic Water to strengthen its moveset. But in doubles, the big BIB can help out with moves like Growl, Rotillier, Icy Wind, and Stealth Rocks. Weird to note but, Bibarrel is just Beaver in German and Barrel while having what looks to be a bib you would typically see infants having when eating.
You didn’t mention Z-yawn? That’s a good option too, because if you don’t get killed you set up swords dance, if you do get killed you switch in something that can set up and get either a free turn from the opponent swapping, or at least one free turn from the sleep
Oh I had missed this video You Tube's algorithms hid it from me >_< guess I'll have to hit notifications >_> I did not know they buffed the beaver in gen 7 swords dance aqua jet Liquidation crunch and Stomping Tantrum are nice buffs though it doesn't solve the underlying issue of our beaver's lack of stats which due to its early game nature sadly isn't probably changing anytime soon.
I actually manged to get a buff bibarel, thanks to a focus sash smeargle with moody , I used spore (and if you want to trap the user use block), and then I sword danced, bibarel (with simple) and return was amazing, and I had crunch for ghost types.
The difference is whether the boosts happen before or after the move execution. When they happen before Simple and Contary don't affect it, but if they happen after (Evoboost and Clangorous Soulblaze) Simple and Contrary affect it
with splash bibarel could be a decent sweeper actually, if you dont need the z on other mons. a pseudo one-time sword dance aqua jet can decimate alot of things, and it can be used also to power up double edge in case its more needed probably double priority would be prefered with that though, since you basically devote him to clean up late, and also you forgo z move on other mon
you know if bibarel had higher defenses it would actually be pretty tank or if bibarel got extreme speed to cover its lack of speed with a strong priority attack it has the potential of becoming a monster me personally I would add about 15 to both of its defenses and bring its special attack to 80 giving it moves like nasty plot, hyper voice, scald, and I am pretty sure it already learns surf in this way you could effectively use it as a special attacker
This non definitely deserves a buff in its base defense and special defense stats. The other stats are fine as they are because it has some pretty powerful abilities but if it can at least raise by 10 points then I think it would be a lot better than it is now. At least help it survive
Have you done one of these for Spiritomb yet? I always liked it but never thought it really measured up for how i play...just curious if you had another approach for it.
Was expecting Mud Sport mention, disappointed... Yes I know most Electric types are faster than it and Amnesia causes a similar reduction of damage as long as it comes from special attackers, but still... By the way, Simple only affects the stat changes for Bibarel itself right, not for other pokémon it targets with stat changing moves like with Rototiller? And that's a big shame, Simple + Rototiller could've been such a funny booster in doubles next to something with spread damage like Petal Blizzard Meganium (which can also set up screens). Then run Endure + Simple Weakness Policy on Bibarel to take the Petal Blizzard and off you go.
Bro I have taken up Eelektross for battle tree. Looks like a used condom, but with no weaknesses and access to coil & dual screens he's got overlooked potential for sure.
I would give it an adamant nature and 252 attack, 252 speed and 4 in hp, the ability simple, and my move set would be swords dance, aqua jet, quick attack, and either crunch or stomping tantrum. The held item would be focus sash. ( i also would prefer bulldoze over stomping tantrum, but I'm not sure if it learns bulldoze.) Does bibarel get bulldoze?
It has nothing to do with the video, but does anyone know what happens when a pokemon who is normally not a ghost type, but has been hit by Trick-or-Treat and then it uses curse?
Hi, I didnt know how to message you do I'm leaving it here, I just had a match on showdown where my golisopod was attacked by a sheer force nidoking, however my emergency exit didn't activate, could it have been because the game decided that my emergency exit would benefit the opponent so it didn't activate it as a "second effect" anyway, something I thought was interesting, you may wana check it out
I think that's a side effect from how Sheer Force is programmed, it just ignores every post-attack effect if the attack had an additional effect, including abilities and held items. It's why Life Orb recoil is also ignored by Sheer Force users if they use an affected move.
Girafarig no stat changes. it gained 3 new attacks in usum. Psychic terrain, psychic fang and stomping tantrum. stomping tamtrum could be good for ghost or dark types that choose to which into your stab moves as the power doubles. although earthquake is a generally safer bet. Psychic fangs is 5 points stronger than zen headbutt and has 100% acc compared to zen's 90% acc. while also breaking screens. beyond that z-move z-work up gives you a +2/+1 in atk and sp.a.
