Great setup! I have every single thing you have in your setup in my pack except for the axe. Mine is a Counsel brand. You have organized it well. I tend to also bring dehydrated meals and ground coffee myself. You gave me some good ideas!😊
Dakota put this video up. I like your ideas. In mine, I went with titanium tent stakes (found on sale). Lighter, smaller, don’t break and can be used in a fire to place a pot/pan on. I have broken every plastic peg I’ve ever had. Subbed and will be looking for more good content!
Love the setup. The sleep system you put together is excellent. You might be sorta over heated in -1 with the mms black bag and the swagman roll combined, but hey it’s a good set up for staying warm next to a camp fire and as a extra layer in the black bag. The exped sleeping mat is so damn warm that will keep you plenty warm with the black bag/gortex
Funny you mention that. After I made that video I was going to go on a trip. Woke up, got dressed then looked at the weather only to see that we had gotten freezing rain overnight. My neighbors car had actually went off the road into my yards the ice was so bad on the street. Decided to postpone the trip until next week as I would have to drive an hour at least to get to a spot to camp back off in the woods. Anyway, temperatures have since went back up into the 30's so the Swagman is actually back out of the pack until it drops back down. Thanks a lot for the encouragement and for watching.......... The Exped mat is definitely the warmest mat I own. Take care and hope to hear your thoughts when I put out the overnighter with that pack! 👍
I’ll keep an eye out for the next video! I use the onewind top quilt instead of the swagman, but that was purely for the sake of price. I am looking forward to fallow up on your 30 degree camp trip! Sorry to hear about your neighbor going off the road. Freezing rain is no joke.
@@Skellanuts I've heard a lot about Onewind being great products at a great price point. The only thing I have from them is a small packable ground sheet that I keep in one of my haversacks. I'll have to check them out more and maybe snag a piece of gear from them. 👍
🙂 Thanks for watching, my friend! I had my stuff all packed up and ready to go on my trip this morning. Woke up to find that we got some freezing rain overnight and the road conditions are terrible. I'm about 1 hour from the closest place I like to camp and the roads around there are pretty curvy with a lot of hills. Decided it's not gonna be wise get out on the roads today so I'm gonna have to postpone my trip for the time being. Kinda bummed, but better safe than sorry. I'm ready to get out there in the snow. Stay safe, man! 👍
Vatching up brother your channel is doing great man. Love your videos. Gotta learn to use that wool. Its only good to around 25-30 without a very heavy and buly load
You have it all covered

Thank you for watching! Definitely love titanium tent stakes as well. I really enjoy switching things up almost every trip I take. 👍✌️
Love this pack I have the medium but been thinking of upgrading to the large

Awesome all excellent choices that Savotta pack is sweet I just grabbed there Hatka sweet like minimalist pack!! Cheers bro✊️🔥✌️💚
Not familiar with that one, but their stuff could survive a nuclear bomb. It's durable stuff! 👍✌️
@@awayinthewilderness4319 check it out it's only 12 liters like a day pack but can be strapped to your bigger bag you have here!! Cool stuff

Thanks for watching! Love sleeping by the fire with some wool. 👍
I like the pack size
It's great for cold weather!
Are the leather gloves warm? It seems like they wouldn't be as comfortable to work in with the colder weather.
Glove liners will be a great idea!
Those black bags are warm as all get out
Definitely!
Do the camp pillows freeze your breath inside it at those temperatures?
Not inside the bag
Almost thou persuadest me... but -1?!!
😂
💪🏕️🔥
Tea?!
Lol....... I actually added some coffee as well. 😆. Was all ready to go this morning, but decided against it with these road conditions.
@@awayinthewilderness4319 it's bad out here too
@@RockyRandall Ya. Not gonna be wise to get out and drive for an hour. Bummed, but probably the right move.
@awayinthewilderness4319 it's going to warm some here though. It's already melting
Have you ever watched Outdoor Boys? I watched that guy handle some cold temps.
