I was very shocked how I could see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Annapolis Maryland flying past on your time lapse video of going to Six Flags American. In fact I ran across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Annapolis Maryland on November 10th, 2024 for the annual Bay Bridge Run and it's a 10k race across the eastbound span of the bridge which is closed to traffic. The race only happens once a year so you can't run across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland any other time of year.
I'm actually happy for my home park for the first time in a long while. Didn't know Professor Screamore's SkyWinder was reprofiled (according to rcdb; it still has the standard SLC layout). New trains worth it. What do you think happens next coaster wise for Six Flags America? More and more, I think Batwing stays (it's a unique ride for sure).
I shouldn’t have used the word reprofiled, but there was significant work done to the track to increase the ride’s longevity from what we were told. I’d love to see Roar RMC’d!
If I was in charge of Six Flags America, I'd focus on some park improvements, adding a new Justice League dark ride, convert Roar into an RMC Hybrid and re-theme their Hurricane Harbor water park to something that ties in with the area.
great coverage as always! 😄 lol so I see what they did with the paper maps… originally they had the maps and the blue bag as a pass member giveaway back in May during a limited weekend offering; probs got a lot of leftovers 🤷🏻♂️ SteamTown lookin’ good! can’t wait to experience it in person! I actually like this park, but it does have flaws 😅 so much potential for sure! Did you guys get a chance to visit my home park, Kings Dominion, while you guys were in the area 😆🤷🏻♂️
I dont know if its because it was media day and the land isnt open yet or if they didnt plan for it, but really noticeably missing is area music. I think a mix of country western and electronic (there are some bands that blend the two well) would be great. The architecture and paint look beautiful. The orange color of the midway too. The bumper cars would definitely benefit from some audio.
I noticed that too. I’m guessing it was because of media day, but I did see speakers around the area. The Bumper Cars were not finished yet, but we were told the park still wanted to give us a preview of them
The place where you got your food used to be a BBQ place. Did they give you an idea of what the menu would be like when it opens for normal operations?
I went here for my first time last year! Man I actually loved this park. They could use a new ride though.I know everyone says rmc roar, but I loved roar! Thought it was great. They could use honestly anything besides a woodie. I would love to see one of the new Vekomas!
Mind Eraser at my home park Six Flags Darien Lake is going to get the same treatment for next year, it'll be interesting what they're going to do with the area because Grizzly Run, our old Intamin river rapids ride (from 1989 i believe) been sitting abandoned for the past couple of years which is also in the same area as Mind Eraser, could it get rethemed like SFA? But Great video showing off the new area and the rest of the park, more bumper car rides should get rid of the divider, it's more fun going which ever way you want.
@S.J.C._Entertainment id rather have no ride than a crap ride. Really dont ever hear of anyone getting off those things and wanting to get back in line hahah
Love the video. I just wish there was a rider cam of Ace & Bob, particularly where Bob is a joyfully attentive listener & a willing participant in the conversation
LOL "Idk why this park has the reputation it does" fast forward to all the rides breaking down and being closed.... that is why it has the reputation along with the people that go there being violent and just shitty in general cutting lines, starting problems. It really shouldn't be that bad of a park but that's exactly why it is... the people suck, reliability is lousy, and they tend to not take care of the park once it's updated. It's great they put some money into it and updated things but check back in couple years and see what it's like.
Hopefully they RMC roar and it’s an original layout. This parks really needs an original coaster , but on more positive note it’s good to see Six Flags making the park look nicer
I live about 6 hours from Great adventure, and I'm literally going on a trip there on Tuesday and will literally be passing this park. This is by far the worst park I've ever been to.
This park receives a lot of hate, so much that even coaster enthusiasts would also give them hate as well. While it’s not that bad of a amusement park, it’s reputation is really bad. It’s often regarded as one of if not the worst park in the SF chain
@@JD.778 I know right. Funny enough, there was actually a fight that broke out on their Juneteenth celebration. It was first uploaded on Twitter before it resurfaced on the Six Flags subreddit

I do like that the Superman coaster takes you out into the woods. Pretty serene and wish other coasters would do that.
Love this park, our family have season passes every year.
I was there today and haf a great time! Batwing was unique, superman as great, jinx was great! even had fun on the "kiddie rides"

In Pennsylvania there is a place call Steamtown has lots of trains
The next ride they should add here is a Mondial Avalanche, it would fit perfectly in this section

@@ColiwoodStudios Yeah I've been saying that for several years. Roar would be a good RMC IBox conversion. Have a zero g stall where the tunnel is.

it still looks so shaky 😂

Thanks! Didn’t get to Virginia on this excursion, should be later on this year though!

I gotta give props to six flags, they’re really putting the effort in to make the parks a lot nicer! Love to see it! Keep up the good work Colin!!!

My best guess is that the food they had out for us (which we showed in the video) is what is for sale there
Does the older dining plan with snack work there? What about orange season drink cups from six flags?
Yes and yes
We still have Paper Maps at Great America

Dang you guys a really traveling around! looks fun! Park looks great too, hope yall had fun.
Can I use this for what I think will be done to the Golden Kingdom area at Six Flags Great Adventure?
Do you mean for a video of your own or?
Really glad it got vest restraints. i cant believe so many parks built slcs back in the day. Historically so unenjoyable
Cheap tho.
@S.J.C._Entertainment id rather have no ride than a crap ride. Really dont ever hear of anyone getting off those things and wanting to get back in line hahah
When we were kids we used to get high AF and ride that old woody all night long when it was at Paragon Park in Hull Ma
So "Suspended Coaster" was just a placeholder after all. Glad they didn't go with that.
So excited for Steamtown! Glad to see they kept the Wild West theme of that section! 25 years and I'm still excited about Six Flags every year!
Love the video. I just wish there was a rider cam of Ace & Bob, particularly where Bob is a joyfully attentive listener & a willing participant in the conversation
I rode the roller coaster and while there wasn’t head banging from the restraints the track was very rough
Ace definitely will add 3-4 credits when he visits here soon
You guys are awesome! You absolutely deserve 30K subs by the end of this year, & this area looks better than ever before!
I'm confused how dinosaurs fit into a Steampunk theme?
This being my home park as a kid gives me slight hope with new changes…
Really waiting for that RMC conversion tho
Awesome looking section of the park! How does Skywinder compare to Nor'Easter? Better? Worse?
Definitely worse, but Nor’Easter was completely retracked, so no SLC can even come close to it
@@ColiwoodStudios That's what I figured. Missed Skywinder by a few weeks sadly, but I suppose I didn't miss out on too much.

I will say that after the media event, I definitely saw some flaws. There’s a reason we didn’t stay very long after riding Superman & Joker’s Jinx 😅
Hopefully they RMC roar and it’s an original layout. This parks really needs an original coaster , but on more positive note it’s good to see Six Flags making the park look nicer
No hating on Six Flags or Six Flags America, SAMMY! The park is charming and they are stepping up to make it a great experience.
Wait so is this just mind eraser cause it looks like they just rebranded it…
Yes
Cool new theme!
Rapids look awesome
I’m questioning if the SLC really got profile imporvements
I think it was more so maintenance to the track to allow the ride to run for a longer period of time
Still won’t make me visit and I live 20 minutes away. I’d rather drive 2 and 1/2 hours to SFGADV.
I live about 6 hours from Great adventure, and I'm literally going on a trip there on Tuesday and will literally be passing this park. This is by far the worst park I've ever been to.
Coyote Creek was a better theme, they could have spent their money better elsewhere in the park. I said what I said 🤷🏼♂️
