In regards to the post-battle discussion about whether Sons of Behemat are competitive or not, they're very frequently placing in the 4/1 bracket in 5 game tournaments right now. So they're very competitive, and kind of a check for most armies in AoS 3 with the edition's big emphasis on hero monsters. They rarely podium, but gatekeep the podium instead.
It's an entire army made of an inherent issue with the games balance. A unit that costs three times as much as the one it's fighting should win, but if it wins without taking any damage, or less a third of itself, it deletes them for free. Force concentration is inherently beneficial.

I dont understand why the primary objective stopped being the primary objective giving 4 points... sure you can kick it but that doesnt alter its status.
It only game 4 points because it was within enemy territory. It isn't a nature of the objective, but its placement. So when it moved it was no longer in the enemy zone, therefore not worth more. You can also kick objectives to where all 4 are in the enemy zone and therefore worth 4 each
@@raymondlane *Get Orf Me Land!:* _Kraken-eater Mega-Gargants hate intruders and trespassers, and do not take kindly to people that decide to fight battles on their land._ In your hero phase, if you have any models with this ability within 1" of an objective that you control, you can pick one of those models and say that it will kick the objective away. If you do so, you can move that objective up to 2D6" to a new position on the battlefield, more than 1" away from any models, terrain features or other objectives. @@horhevamp8890 I actually only mentioned the value as a side note, but since you asked... SOB FAQ: _Q: Some objectives behave differently in different areas of the battlefield (e.g. ‘Battleplan: Scorched Earth 2020’ or ‘Battleplan: Border War’). Does this mean that the value of an objective can change when it’s kicked into different territories?_ A: Yes. The mission examples are a bit old, but since they have not been errated, we should believe this still hold true. Aaaand... Savage Gains: The objectives located on the border of each player’s territory are *prime objectives*. Unless noted otherwise, prime objectives cannot be removed from the battlefield. It could even be argued that since the objective punted would no longer be "located on the border of" any players' territory, it doesn't qualify any more as "prime objective". But in regards to your ponder, the actual value of the objective is not tied to its primacy (it only means you can't remove it with the Seismic Shift rule). The mission clearly states: Also Savage Gains: - Score 1 victory point if you control the objective on the border of your territory. or - Score 2 victory points if you control an objective that is not on the border of either player’s territories. or - Score 4 victory points if you control the objective on the border of your opponent’s territory. You could even punt it to your territory and it would score only 2VP for either party, due to it no longer being on either players' territories' border. And then the argument whether it still retains its primacy is a whole another conversation, but I'd play it as it does, 'cose we have no errata in regards objective changing anything else than value (though the line "objectives behave differently, does this change when kicked? yes" could be made as an argument).
I'd say a gorup of giants is called a Disaster. Using an example, it'd be 'what a Disaster these 2 cults are taking over the planet!' That kind of disaster ^^
I actually believe that's what the denizens of the Mortal Realms call them. The giants are to stupid to understand that though, so they prefer a stomp of gargants.

The video of vampire bat running is excellent. I had no idea they could or how they would. Excellent. Thanks Josh.
The game was great too
I really appreciate this battle report!
I'd love to have this guy as a teacher.
Very cool battle report but my heart sadden when at 47:26 the FEC player missed the fact he did 12 MW (6s on the maw attacks are straight 6MW).
Although the model being used was the Terrorgheist, he stated at the 3:15 he was playing it as a Zombie Dragon. It does throw you off though!

You NEVER the Sons give a free turn. What an epic clash, regardless.
They FAQ’d savage gains. Now it’s 2 points for each middle objective.
This army of giants... You can buy nearly 2 whole 2000pt armies for the cost of them.. they are expensive!
Man the giants really look like a feel bad army to fight. Reminds me of Knights in 5th edition 40k.
@41:40 when he yodels I laughed pretty hard, it was rather unexpected
this batrep was amazing! :D
Love seeing the big guys.
Last data on tournaments i saw had behemoth at 56% win rate after 90games. Pretty good
"Varghulf! Varghulf!"
Starring Jowel Blackheart, Kill Riley, John Plaguehost as Timmy the Crypt Horror, and of course Varghulf.
thank you for the battle report
Battle of the naked men
I'd like to see Chaos/Giant conversions, that would be cool.
Which miniature is the third man crusher that is posed static with double edged axe? Love it!!!
I think Kyle regretted giving that turn away 😬
That crypt ghast courtier won the moral victory
Fantastic battle, great seeing the Power of the Beard dice showing a lovely victory!! Yes, I am biased, but hey 🤷🏻♂️
Gigantic power doing gigantic stuff
Am I wrong or did Kyle come in and do Fantasy batreps back in the day? Was always one of my favourite guests.
Yessir it's the same dude
Sweet age of sigmar
This scenario is basically custom made for gargants
Was probably asked before, but where is the Mancrusher from?
