  • In this video, I discuss, and demonstrate how to model clear coat peeling and chipping affects on a Bowser GMD SD40-2. This is an affect you see on many different roads from CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, etc.

I had a 2000 Dodge Dakota that pealed like this. I know the look well and I'm definitely going to give this a try on my next attempt.

Great video. Always learning something new from you. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the ghost lettering techniques on Railbox boxcars, you've mentioned in a previously done video. Keep um coming Dan.

Dan, on the 38 and 38-2s or other non turbocharged units you can see streaks that run down the sides of the hoods, have you modeled that and how?

Focus in on the front of that locomotive. Look inside the left side door where the conductor sits. That looks like a bird inside the locomotive.

excellent work do not you use sealer for the powders?

He's said in other videos that he doesn't clear-coat over powders, but it does mean he has to be more careful handling them.

I am guessing you changed the radiator screens. How did you remove the Bowser factory radiator screens? I Have HLCX #6218 and would like to change the radiator screen for Cannon & Co chicken wire screens.
