Signs Your Child May Need Reflex Integration Therapy
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 сер 2022
- Primitive reflexes are automatic, instinctual movement that assists in development, growth, and survival. These reflexes typically integrate by 12 months of age, and when they don't, they can prevent gross motor development and cause stress in the body.
In this video, Occupational Therapist Erin Liuzzo explains what the most common reflexes are, what age they should integrate by, and signs your child may have retained one of these reflexes. Occupational therapy can be used to address and help integrate the reflexes and get your kiddo back on track developmentally.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's development, reach out to us at Emerge and we'd be happy to discuss them with you!

Hi.
Can reflexes be retained in autism spectrum?
Thank you very much.
Children with autism can have retained reflexes but having autism does not necessarily mean that they will have them. Anyone can have retained reflexes, so it doesn't come with only specific diagnoses!
