  • Ginga (BBY-03) (銀河) is a Yamato-class United Nations Cosmo Navy space battleship. The ship was conceived as a next-generation exploration vessel succeeding the original space battleship Yamato, but was repurposed for defensive support during the Gatlantis-Earth War.

    I been wondered if I would choose to buy and build the following model kit, and your great build inspired me. In facts, I would to say some correction and respond to the “Ginga” decal sections. The following leftover decal are “武藏” means “Musashi” in Japanese, either in real life or anime counterparts, it’s a Yamato Class Design; meanwhile, the following anime, Musashi was planned to replace Yamato if she had fail the voyage to Iscandar. However, surprisingly, “Musashi” was completed before the reach of Iscandar. On the other hand, like what been mentioned, Musashi was heavily designed by Yamato, which means the abilities of destruction was the original designs of the following ship.
    Back to the topic, “Ginga” in Japanese words, is the only one and emblem that put on the sealed Wave Motion Gun in the front, which is “银河”. These are two different words and meaning to be said ; “银河” refers to Milky Way, which is our current galaxy, while “武藏” is the historical person in Japanese warrior history during the ancient time. In the following anime, reason for Musashi changed it name to Ginga, was planned just after the completion of mission to Iscandar, and due to pacifist policies, the wave motion gun on Musashi was sealed, while armed with Cosmos Reversal System in return. By the time, no one would expected Galantis would nearly wideout Humans in the end of the season, so Ginga was replanned to expect to leave Milky Way, and rebuild a new “Milky Way” out there in vast universe. That the meaning of “Ginga” to the references of the following anime.

      Wow thank you very much for pointing out my mistake. Looking at it again you're right, the leftover decals are Musashi and not Ginga. Thank you for sharing the lore about this ship, always good to find out more!

    Just want to ask, I never built any model kit before and I want to try this one. Is it beginner friendly? Without the LED stuff.

    • @somethingorother319
      @somethingorother319 2 роки тому

      Bandai models are usually beginner friendly because most of the newer ones are snap fit. Meaning you don't need glue. They're also often already color sequenced so you don't have to paint them if you don't want to.
      Having said that, this is a larger model. But if you're patient and have attention to detail, then I don't see why you couldn't build this one.

    • @KumaModels
      @KumaModels  2 роки тому +1

      Something OrOther is right, Bandai kits are very beginner friendly. All you need is some nippers to cut the parts out of the sprue and some sanding stick/file to clean up the nub marks. The parts are also number coded so you won't have a hard time following the instructions ex A34, B2, C5, etc. Bandai models are very color accurate so there's no need to paint them!
      The only problem I think if this is your first model would be the water slide decals. You'll need to soak them in water to melt the adhesive then carefully slide them into place. They're very delicate and usually there are no extras. Aside from this you should be all set with this as your first model! Good luck!
