I don't know if Newton 3 was completely free a year ago, but you have to pay $249 for it now, with a trial version of 25 frames free. I was using this tutorial for a passion project I'm working on, is there any way I could get an older version for free or an alternative to Newton 3?
Been using this plug in since 2013. It's come a long way in some respects. Great plugin for AE. Most of my corporate work really never capitalizes on it and for a while never needed it. Going off the reservation and using it for their Marcomm work and branding. Hoping it gets noticed. We shall see.
It's possible to do this effect without the Newton plugin, just animate the mask on a solid, combine that with stockfootage, etc Project file linked in description with water assets. Another fun tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/3oJuEVa4_1c/v-deo.html
Hey Visionary, thanks for sharing the tutorial, can we have one explaining this effect blood/ink trail/path in a texture? ua-cam.com/video/vdPlkY8BsYg/v-deo.html haven fond information in reddit or even creative cowboy :/
Nice work brother - the skillsets you teach in the Freelance Cult is def a necessity. I will also mention that being able to connect with other designers and bounce ideas and get critiques is helpful as well. Always nice to have additional eyes and ideas coming from other designers in a closed and trusted environment.
Oo missed the live 👀. The way you combined different techniques to turn all those atoms into water molecules is just so satisfying💧. Thirsting for more tutorials like this 😅😀✌️
Exactly what i'm looking for, but now i'm thinking that it's also possible to make the map with maybe using game engine or free 3d program with basic shape to make the map, (the plugin is quite pricey so i'm looking for alternative, but maybe worth to consider for big project/clients, what do i know. but it's cool, even though i wanted after effects to have physics feature natively) again thank you, but i hate the fact that the thumbnail is just a stock image, and not the results that makes me physically avoiding this video sry, i don't know if it was intended, but i love memes so nvm,
@@VisionaryFire yes, it's possible but when it came to different cases and collisions, the flexibility of controlling the physics and certain collisions is a big deal, there might be a lightweight program to do 2d physics in real time and then just record it when we were gonna blur the map anyway, but kinda defeat the idea of working only with after effects.

I think it’s possible to do with stock footage mixed with masked solid to create the map as well
