The fact that this channel aint cranking out hits is proof of the terrible state of the dread UA-cam algorithm. Its detailed, its brief, and its high production.
Thank you for the kind remarks about the quality! It will only get better from here, there are things in the future that will surprise you. As far as I see it, the channel is young and I'm lucky for it to have been as successful as it has been so far
The German perspective is literally like a Hoi4 game. You push really far at the beginning but then out of nowhere the enemy masses endless amounts of divisions and pushes you back and then nothing moves anymore
Oh my god, I have no words dude. This is awesome! I don't understand why UA-cam recommends other map channels but not this one, it's literally one of the best I've seen.
The amount of details is freaking amazing! Animation quality and stuff are really great too And I like how you specifically mentioned Hitler getting injured lol
I feel like the endless carnage and mental scar of WW1's Western Front is hard to comprehend in comparison to any other conflict Not in sheer scale, but in the way it was fought. The endless grind of attrition; millions dead for a few miles...
At first, a classical music plays. Meaning that they thought it would be a quick and easy war like the old times (late 19 century when Germany defeated France). But in the first months of war the music changes to something more modern, meaning the war would get way more long and brutal than they thought due to technological and industrial advancements in weaponry. Causing stalemate. Many of them used old tactics in such modern war for the time, many generals ordered soldiers into suicidal attacks for a inch of land.
Another masterpiece. However the manpower numbers are inaccurate, but you already know that (looked at the comments). I wish you good luck with your channel. Dont try to please everyone, do mapping the way you enjoy. Because you do a lot of good work.
Great video but I have a small suggestion. The colours of the tags for the central powers and entente should be a bit brighter and easier to see. It's not a huge issue in this video but I could see it being a concern in a video with multiple different combatants in different theatres of war. Also might be handy for viewers who haven't the best colour vision or who need higher contrast. With that being said, you got a subscriber. I look forward to seeing your channel grow.
You're right. I've got something more simple lined up to show faction alignment for the future, it should feature in the Eastern Front of 1918 video for the first time
I liked this video but: - Could you explain what "The French military buckles under the sudden pressure" and "France reduces its commitments" meant at 2:26 ? France reducing its commitments was the german objective which would have happened if the french lost Verdun, but it never happened - The Battle Of The Somme at 2:37 was not a british offensive but a combined anglo-french one, as half the divisions there were french
Typically when people have done this kind of thing they just display a total manpower estimate of the country, which leads to Germany having a much greater number than they should have. Here I try to represent manpower in theatre, and also fatalities in theatre. Day to day manpower on the front line was probably much more favourable to Germany than displayed, because their troops got less time away from the front. I inferred the figures from division strength in theatre at various points in time. Ultimately the Entente took 2 million more losses but still triumphed which leans me toward seeing the figures as realistic
@@fullworldmap the numbers are probably right for the most part. But germany dropping to 900000 seems a bit off even with a large part of the army being deployed on the eastern front. And 1 million for the british at that time seems high. My guess is just troops being counted differently , frontline, or non combatants only the numbers for infantry ...
Excellent chanel. I can just suscribe and like. This chanel is extremely pedagogic. The 3 phases of the war are remarkably shown. 2024 year of take-off of this chanel 😊

I’m glad you like it, feel free to share this work with your students! All I ask is that you let them know where it came from. I’m curious, as a teacher what kind of video duration would suit your work best? Most of my work is quite long form but I understand that could be in issue in the classroom. For now, those students who are interested in something a little longer and more detailed can check out this one: ua-cam.com/video/W4uqsn_B_0Y/v-deo.html&t
@@fullworldmap Thank you for your generous response! The ideal duration quite varies depending on the topic or how we wish to effectively use it, so it's very hard to say, but this video size is fairly reasonable, in my opinion. The full version is also suitable when we want to show the fuller picture to the pupils (we might speed up the playback speed in that case), or when we introduce it to them for their further exploration (to be viewed at their own pace).
When we show this animation to our students, can we include the animation in the lesson slides for the seamless viewing experience? We will ensure the credit clearly states your channel name and the animation title.

Only inaccuracy I saw was Thailand's expedition corps. It was only 414 men I believe.
There were 414 involved in the aviation corps, but (according to Wikipedia) 870 other Siamese troops helping out

Nobody gonna talk about how the hell could Belgium recruit so many new troops during the war when having 97% of territory occupied? :D
