I can only assume either the disc is either corrupt or incompatible with your drive, try another Brand of Disc, if it still does not work then it maybe your drive needs replacing.
Select the photo's on the Disc (CTRL+A) then copy them to the computers memory (CTRL+C) then go into the Pictures folder on you PC and Paste them (CTRL+V).
Peter Pan try copying all files and folders from the CD to a folder on your PC then try double clicking cdviewer.exe and see if that works, if it doesn’t it might be that the CD was designed so that pictures can only be viewed from the CD.

When I put my disc into the drive it just brings a message up to put a disc in and opens up and
nothing happens

I have a question, I have a dvd that has a image file, can I drag it into my folder? Or will that crash my laptop?
Yes I have dragged images from a DVD to my Pictures Folder on the computer and it was fine.

How should I literally copy photos from the disc to the PC? I have had enough of the godawful "(not responding)" error garbage

I should definitely do that on a Macintosh or PS3 prior to transferring the photos to the notebook PC
How do I transfer a CD with data and viewer to a folder on your PC. In such a way that I can start the viewer from the PC folder?
What viewer are you using?
@@cwtek1 Hello there. Tks for answering. There are two exe files on the CD.: 1) mdac_typ.exe aprox 8 Mb
and 2) cdviewer.exe aprox 10 Mb

Yes it will stay on your computer if you copy it, but not if you move it.
