As an old metalhead, 55, I also had a break where I moved to jazz, folk, and blues. I appreciate your view on these bands as I missed a lot. Helps me catch up a bit and look at other things. Great reaction as always!
Rosetta bar Belfast (now a Tesco) lol Still have that picture of us there when we saw them with Vader and Krisiun - must have been 2001 . Winds of creation is superb! Great meeting the band too and tragic what happened after. Good memories
2:05 that's exactly the thing. We metalheads appreciate instruments and go through those stages like you say i am only now after 20 years coming back to some of the shit i have listened to on tapes back in a day and it's fine i am cooll with that i mean i always listened to metal in between ofc but been to jazz been to good electro good prog all that stuff so i definitely know what you mean bro ! And that is soooo true
Really enjoying your channel! Decapitated have added a real 'groove' element to their sound which I love. Guitarist Vogg has also joined the ranks of the mighty Machine Head. He absolutely kills it every time. Magic stuff 👍
Another great reaction, I loved this and your 'Lions At the Gate' reaction too. Please check out, Jinjer's 'Call Me a Symbol' which was released about a month ago, as you may or may not know, Tatiana was in America when the most recent invasion began so, she was safe, but the lads were still in the Ukraine, they were to allowed to leave as Jinjer were made Ambassadors to help spread the message of what was happening over there.
Tatiana's guest spots all work really well imho. :) Which shouldn't be a surprise really, when you consider she's spent over a decade coming up with vocals over the Jinjer lads' often complex & technical musical compositions. She prefers performing the extreme vocals (& hey, who does them better?!), but for me personally, the really impressive thing is that she's become *quite* accomplished at adding a layer of very *human* clean sung parts to compositions which can sound quite math-y & dense without her. What are your thoughts on this John?
I like this song, but there's still stuff in Jinjer's back catalogue that's worth checking out. I recommend Pausing Death, On The Top, and Dreadful Moments. Outlander and Hypocrites & Critics are some great throwbacks from them as well.
Amazing reaction my friend JW!!....In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just It was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coach, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 and 5 years have passed since then, but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you..It is a more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ua-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/v-deo.html
I like very much Tatyana 's style so I discover this band thanks to her, sharing this title. I thought at first hearing that they use her skills a little bit like Elise Ryd in Amaranth, more than we're used to imagine her. That's not what I prefer amidst what she does as a collaboration
I never thought I'd hear a song with tatiana in it that I didn't like..... but there it is. Even her perfection couldn't save that dog shit of a band.... just my 2 cents
🎵🎸Moody, atmospheric, instrumental, one-man-band prog? Right this way 👇

Your reaction was very similar to mine. I find this one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Especially toward the end.

He's listened to the entire Wallflowers album already, unless you mean the mv specifically
@@leviathan3630 Thank you, yes, I did mean the video, sorry that I didn't make it clear.
@@Adam_Le-Roi_Davis. Ah, no worries
The guitar riff during Tati’s singing reminds me a lot of the guitars in Angra’s “nothing to say”. Jeez that’s good stuff
