I love the humour in this game! Lord Howard Hurtz wishing someone would invent the gun, the different damsels, the peasants complaining that they took their pinball machine (as opposed to food, children or cows), and then CHEERING when one says "they took our wives". As for the back panel art, you've got a troll wearing sneakers and written on the castle wall is "The king is a queen" and "For a good knight call [concealed]"!
I can't imagine playing for 2 hours straight like that. I believe my longest game ever was on Twilight Zone, I didn't time it but it was a bit over an hour and I got something like 9.6B. I remember the incredible adrenaline rush I was feeling as I zoomed way past my PB into territory I never even dreamed of seeing, and how I was literally shaking at the end. I was so done, it was so physically and mentally exhausting, funnily enough, that was the last game I played!
Considering the shrubbery mention and the French bad guy, something tells me the developers, while obviously referencing it, were very big fans of Monty Python
I remember playing this game in the late 90's after not being in an arcade for nearly a decade. I was absolutely gobsmacked. It was hilarious that i was being taunted by the enemies in the castle i was trying to break into. It was extremely fun and i skipped a few uni classes just to play. Excellent i can play it on the PC as having a real cabinet to too out of reach for me.
@@BrokenCircus I believe it's a feature the operator can change in the test menu, if I remember correctly. There is an actual sound file of "I'm Lord Howard Hurtz. Who the [fuck] are you?" uncensored that was ripped from the game itself.

Can you hear me? Can you feel me? This is some crazy Tommy shit!
What's your strategy at first? Is it different every time or do you always go for the multiball before you go for the castle? I play on the PS 4 which seems a little different from this one.
I usually go for madness with all the modes, and the castle usually comes later automatically. It takes a long time to progress the castle, so focusing on that is only something I do, if I screw up the madness, say I missed 2 modes, then I can focus on the castle during multiballs. When playing tournament mode, it is just too hard to go for castle on Fx3. I don't think I've got castle at all on Fx3.
This machine isn't one of my best but yes definitely go for the maximum madness as much as possible. If you can start trolls as the 5th mode it give you a free restart when you kill them off, so that's the best way to go.
No idea, I haven't played it on VPX. But in general I think it's better than TPA, if a bit brütal. But the real table is also quite brütal. It looks like the physics will be updated soon, to what's in Volume 4, which is awesome.
@@lordsqueak Thank you! Do you play on view 8 all the time? I'm a very new player to this game, and use view 3 all the time. However, when it goes to the multiball mode, and the view changes, it's hard for me because I'm not used to seeing that particular view of the table if you know what I mean.
@@bingefeller I usually play in either view 1w or View 2. as these are the only locked camera views. (also view1, but the focal length is odd) My ideal would be a view 1½, as 1 is too low, and 2 is too high placed, so sometimes I just switch between the two to find the one that works better. I haven't really taken notes to see which view I posted the most on youtube,, but I have played some good games, only to switch view the next day and double the score. So view selection can make a noticable difference.
As I understand it, for now it is. But it looks like they are going to change something, either the rating of the DLC or maybe even offshoot the williams tables to its own game with a different rating. I guess we shall have to wait and see what they come up with, and if that will even reach consoles.
I am hoping that would be the case. I do have a PS4 and I enjoyed the work that Pinball FX3 did as well as the sounds and effects in the pinball machine. Fingers crossed they would change the ratings due to other games like Scared Stiff with Elvira, Attack from Mars, Cactus Canyon and a few others.
It's easy enough to just hit random targets and score points, but the ball lock / double super jackpot on the castle wall is quite a narrow target, and the catapult is a very sharp angle and also difficult to hit. Hitting the castle gate is risky because of the chance of the ball rolling straight down the middle. And let's not forget "Battle for the Kingdom"... that is a truly difficult final challenge. You have to hit each of the standard jackpots once, including both sides of the joust orbit and the ball lock shot, and then once that is complete, hit the castle door 7 times before finally sending the ball inside for victory. If you didn't save up any Troll Bombs earlier, then the castle shot is even harder because of the invincible trolls, and if you only have 1 ball left, a 10-second countdown appears that only resets if you hit a valid shot (i.e. a jackpot that you've already shot doesn't count). And regardless of winning or failing, you have to start all over again once it's over.

I can safely say this is the first pinball game I've ever seen with a censor bleep.
Even better: there's an uncensored version.
@Seth James Another one?! Who is programming these bots?!
Do not look up Instapwn. It’s a phishing scam.

Seems like you let the castle happen, not on purpose, is that right?
Oof, here comes LordSqueak. Better up my game and grind out a new high score... Ugh, I don't want to grind MM for six hours again...
Battle For The Kingdom
28:03
And again at 54:45

This would be View 8 , which was added for the Bally Williams table packs. (but not available for the zen table packs)

The view you picked is terrible, but the great gameplay sorta makes up for it
what are you playing this on,pc? console?
This is played on PC. (and keyboard)

It was a bit easier on Pinball Arcade though ;)
Nope didn't do it on arcade mode. Once you do that you'll have my attention.
The ball is literary a beach ball lol
