Lovely video, and a beautiful cane. I love "playing" with polymer clay, and have done so for many years. Though I especially like the portion of the video (around the 25min point) where you spoke of time and may I paraphrase "Zen and the art of Crafting".
For many years, and numerous complex projects behind me, the question often comes up "How long did that take you to make" and my simple response is always "I do not know" And I don't know because I get absorbed in the process and finished result is the bonus of my pleasure!
    Thank you, and happy crafting!

Totally new twist to an extruded cane- every step was true magic - kept me guessing till the end- thankyou is very deficient here

I personally don't care how long it takes for you to make anything I love learning from you and enjoy every demo you have and think your work is BEAUTIFUL ! And if anyone is a true artist they understand that we are known as perfectionist and we never view our time we view our work and the end results.

Every time you said "Now I'll just change the shape or I'll just cut it again" I thought 'No no! Don't! It looks great now! But you just kept surprising me. I can't wait to watch some more and get started on some of my own. You have my thanks and my total respect. I'd never have guessed at the enormity of possibilities!

Well, I am definitely 'Pandorified' ! I love your videos. You make it easy to follow. I am disabled to some degree, and I have trouble working for long periods of time, and finding a reason to. I have many items for my clay. I buy them from Shades of Clay here in Ontario, Canada. I was inspired by 2 Canadian artists, one of whom, is a manufacturer of Cabezel All-In-One molds. I think you would love them! It is a bezel and cabochon mold all in one. I have made some neat things with them, but after viewing your much easier to follow tutorials,I can make even better things! I think you are one stylish Chick (lol), and you made my day and I would love to know you. Thank you for continuing to inspire us all!

I've been an artist most of my life doing drawings, oil paintings and many crafts. The videos you do are mesmerizing to watch. So very unreal the different patterns you come up with, amazing and beautiful. I'm always fascinated to watch another artist work. This is my beginning with polymer clay and I hope that I can make beautiful things like you. Thank you for all your videos.

The cane is gorgeous Teresa! This is a very interesting and totally instructive video. I've been so scared to make canes in case I mucked them up but you've put me into my Zen zone with your laid back style. Superb, clear and easy to follow. You also confirm my love of playing around with techniques rather than following a pattern rigidly and coming up with something different. I love that working in Polymer Clay gives you infinite options .. for colour, pattern, style so it's such a pity to follow rigidly. Look forward to watching more of your videos. Why do you use Sculpey Souffle .. isn't it a bit soft for Caning?? Here in France Fimo tends to be more used .. because its from Germany and Professional is good for caning.

Thanks Teresa always great tips and technique to pick up! I had the thought the other day, speaking about fulfilling wishlists, it was about like, stockpiling polymer clay. . . just pick up an extra brick here and there as one would shop, and put it back for people in the UK and elsewhere that don't receive the 40-50% off sales . . . distribute where individuals have a need. I hope you could understand where my thought was going LOL Best to you always
