Swac (Volume) vs Meac (Strong musicianship)
The Spartan Legion displayed an outstanding combination of musicianship and power.They're extremely underrated.

Dayvon Savage they’ve always been here tho. They’ve had the same clean powerful sound they just got more exposure
first time @ this showcase, they really did well. I wished they would have selected better songs to play during the stand battle. I know people are going to say musicianship & sound but when the crowd is into it, it really is amazing to see. Great field show thou, next up BOTB @ NSU vs VSU 9/1/17

I’m gonna say it if no one else is gonna say it. When baby girl slipped out of that tumble landed on her but and smooth got back up and didn’t miss a count I was like now that’s what I’m talking about. Greatest recovery in a dance line I’ve ever witnessed. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾💚💛🔰BEHOLD! 🫶🫡

Flags were killing it!!! Dance team I understand trying to go all out for a botb show but the feathers kind of were in your way. Great JOB BAND JUST AWESOME!!!!
Dance team still worked it out though regardless of those pesky feathers.
Nice sound, ESP for the beginning of the year. I haven't heard yall live in awhile but I was pleasantly surprised today.

They did that, very entertaining, highly musical, precision at every turn, and I'd venture to say there are NO horn holders that band has some power for the size. I love how the dancers are a representation of what black women truly look like they had every shade in there and didn't hide it with those "stockings" that make all the legs look the same color.
Very entertaining Real SHIT. I didn't fool with these ppl all this time nah I'm digesting old footage to see the growth and development. That Popping cause Show was On point from Band from Flags. Yes Flags and Girls came out nice. Breakdown was lil iffy but shit ppl was playing same breakdown shit. At the End I knew they had a anthor lil something. Great footage as always and Thanks for keep us Music ppl in the loop throughout all the Shit the World is offering. Wwaannnnnn

Musicianship is superb, but field appearance will get you ran straight out the SWAC
You do realize that Swac bands were there including Jackson and they still had the best show of all of the Bands including Jackson. You do realize they faced TXSU and blew them out in Houston. You do realize that it was because of them blowing out Grambling at Shea Stadium in 1976 is the reason why the Legion was put on the map in the band world.
So considering that their filed show WAS better than both participants from the SWAC says what about your statement ? And these are opinions coming from folks who DIDNT march for NSU. 🤷🏾♂️

@@Bandcentral However this band program was prestigious way before these SWAC directors took the lead. Suggesting the Legion has a SWAC influence for their greatness is simply false and misleading.

They have a good sound but not better than A and T
joe milla always better than A&T. Since Norfolk has been in the MEAC you kan see the influence it has on others esp. A&T. A&T used to have a heavy lower brass sound that sounded a little sloppy. Now they sound a lot kleaner. The designs A&T are now doing were not a part of their Kraft before they started playing the Legion.
Kool Kharisma that's all good in all but I still don't see how they better than A and T...

It's not my job to konvince you otherwise. However apparently you do not hear what we hear. And NSU's sound is so obviously compelling to you that you had to declare A&T sound is better than the Legion on a video that has nothing to do with A&T. Moving forward your statement is mute regarding this video.
Somebody using profanity if they feel A&T has a better sound. NEXT!
