Amazing. Not without small errors, not perfect. But with passion, love, sound, flow (and pain) ... Can not wait to hear the 50 year old John (and his band, of course).
Continuum was the best John Mayer ever was and probably ever will be imo. All his stuff after that was great but Continuum is just…complete and everything that makes music worth listening to.
@@Tremple Yeah, they have their own sound. I have a few of them but they can’t match the identical tone of either a LP or a strat. They sound like PRS guitars. Sound good with the right pickups but not exact match to the LP or strat tones. Probably could get very close with amp tweaks. The SS is close, very close, to a strat but to my ears, it doesn’t have that jangly smoothness /glassiness that John’s strat had on these records.
@@italomarcos1231 It’s an odd descriptor, yes? I’ve heard the term used a lot regarding SRV and some pedals (ie Pedal Pawn Fuzz). I’ve yet to find any guitar other than a strat that can achieve that tone.

@John Mayer do you lack affection? why do you create fake accounts and reply?
The only man that can get thousands of people to say “ you’ll be a bitch because you can”
I mean a lot of rappers get their fans to say much worse lol
You need to see good ol Slim Shady concerts
Any famous performer can do that because people are sheep
You can really hear how his time with The Dead has added to his guitar vocabulary.

Yes. The Search for Everything comes very close, but his two perfect works were Continuum and Try!
He is awesome, seems to only get better with age, but this is the only song that I sincerely miss the strat on.
agreed im not a fan of prs they sound to clean to me

@@YaYa-ke1zr “glassiness”... this is definitely the word i was looking for to set apart strat from silversky
