I never schedule pruning time.
I do pruning, if I really need to align the length of the branches.
And when forcing the growth of new branch shoots.

Pruning leaves is only to stimulate the emergence of new branches, the size of the caudex depends on the amount of photosynthesis from the leaves, precisely to make the caudex large, the pruning frequency should not be too frequent, that's my opinion
