Have been doing your practice for some years now. First time doing this set. It’s short but packs a punch. I had a great sweaty workout amazing. Will keep doing till I don’t struggle as much. Thanks for this Paula ❤

Wonderful practice... also, a question- I always have difficulty bringing either foot forward moving from downward dog or three legged dog to any kind of lunge or set up for warrior. It's as if there isn't enough room between me and the floor to get my leg through and feels very awkward- sometimes I have to use the arm on that side to help the leg through. Is there anything I can do, or something I should be attending to in order to make these transitions more smoothly? Many thanks- I truly love your practices, I do the postnatal core 1 daily.

Hi Monica, thanks for watching and supporting the channel. This is a common issue, firstly, you can drop down onto 1 knee and then step the other leg forward - this is level 1. When you want to try the full variation again, think about bringing the knee to the chest and shift the weight forward onto your hands whilst also lifting your hips up high, to make space to step the foot forward. It is totally fine to use your hand to shift the foot forward as well until you develop the strength and flexibility to not need it anymore. Hopefully this will help you! And just keep practicing, it will definitely get easier and easier. Let me know how you go. x p

yoginimelbourne Thank you- lifting the hips are not something I actively thought while doing the transition and good to know using my hand to guide in meantime is ok. So appreciate your responsiveness!

Paula I had a csection 11weeks ago. Can I do this to help regain core muscle strength and lose weight?thank you

Hi Wei, I would get the doctors clearance before starting physical exercise. Once you have got that you should be fine to most practices around, but I would avoid strong abdominal crunches for the time being. Gentle stretching and flows to get you feeling better. It takes quite a bit of time to get your body back to how you remember, be gentle on yourself. I hope its all going well with the little one. p x

I really wish Paula hadnt made that comment about weight loss at the start of the vid. Its fatphobic and othering of her fat viewers. Its also triggering to those in eating disorder recovery, a group who often uses yoga as a form of movement and connection to their body because of its strong values and mindfulness practices. I love Paula's content and I realize this is an older video of hers. But I was really disappointed in finding out her channel isnt a trigger-free space for me & my ed recovery and I hope she takes this video down.

Hello Norah, I’m so sorry you didn’t feel safe in this space. As you mentioned this is one of my very early videos where I really was just learning about creating content for this platform. There is truly no intent here to shame anyone. I am committed to creating a a safe, inclusive space on this platform and respect that you would like this video taken down, I will take some time to to think about this. ❤️
