Even though they’re already sharing the river.
I love this man, I had a him sign a flyer from one of his shows once. I lost it when I moved. I hope I can meet him again one day.
He got me into contemporary poetry years ago and I am still grateful for that

I found Anis Mojgani through this video. I cannot believe that I have gone all these years without knowing his incredible body of work. But I am so glad that this is where I found him. I think this piece is as perfect as it gets, and is one of the best poems he has written. Kudos to Anis. And kudos to button poetry for uploading this.
(not related to the poem but the poet) i remember back in the day we used to pass around "dark web" audio poetry. I would listen to Anis Mojgani, Black Ice, Kinetic Affect etc.. these guys really were like big brothers to me.. in my own way. I was so lucky to make it to be best institutions and got to meet "same" minded people. It is not my intention to sound judgemental however, the "poetry" group at varsity was more superficial and more concerned with the "look" and aesthetic. But all is all and worth the experience. It is really something to age. I am so glad that Mojgani is still holding on to his art and expression of it.
Very nuanced, a poets poem. The ending of it actually sounds more like short story then poem but I think that was the purpose of this,actually on purpose to lead you somewhere that could be anywhere.
