As we lookback to Kites final scene facing Pitou, Kite acknowledges that the random weapon he rolled means something bad. As readers, our 1st thought would be that the Bat's ability is not enough since Kite knows the difference in power between him an Pitou, but from Togashi's explaination, its the Bat that has the ability to save Kite from really dying, and Kite knowing what the Bat does, realizes and accepts his temporary death.

I just found this channel and have rewatched hxh with them since their first upload. Kimchi reactions are so genuine and Tofu has a really high sense of emotion and whats really going on in the story. Thank yall
One of the reasons Killua is so fixated on saving Gon, is because of how many times he views Gon has saved him. Remember when Gon went to his home because his family was trying to alienate him from his friends? Convincing Killua to get his Hunter's License again? Throw in all the guilt he has felt from his inability to assume the same sacrificial risks everyone around him did, because Illumi's brain control needle was forcing him to take the safest (easiest) way out of situations. Killua is just dying to prove that he values Gon as much as Gon has shown to value Killua.

Didn't Gong say that he taught Kite an ability with crazy slots that pops up when his life is in danger, hence why that wand came up with his slots, I think it was that its ability allowed or made Kites soul transfer to the nearest pregnancy / womb which is why he was a baby inside the queen ?

If anyone wants to know of the hidden messages in this arc, it'll make their story even more beautiful ^ ^Kokoriko is an advanced Gungi technique developed by Komugi that centers around isolating the King (as in the Gungi piece, not the Chimera Ant), separating it from the other pieces and killing it off. Just like Netero and the Hunters were planning to do to Meruem. However, Komugi unexpectedly develops a counter to this technique in the middle of a game, meaning that the King piece (representing Meruem) no longer has to die (since he unexpectedly survived the nuke). Then, later on, when Komugi uses Kokoriko again, she actually develops a counter to the counter ("she reversed my reversal???"), representing that the King piece (Meruem) apparently actually does have to die after all (because of the Rose's poison).However, immediately after beating Meruem using Kokoriko (symbolizing his imminent death), Komugi and Meruem start one final game together, a game that they never finish. 1-5-1 Black King -> 9-5-1 White Lieutenant General, I believe, or something to that extent. Immediately afterwards, they die together, leaving on the board Meruem's one black piece and Komugi's single white piece, together in Gungi forever. This represents that the two were always united through Gungi, and will continue to be together even after death, undisturbed and united for all eternity. Meruem places his piece down, symbolizing his death, and then Komugi responds by placing her piece down next to his, showing that she is perfectly willing to die at his side..The black screen/black panels in the manga show that the Rose's poison has made Meruem go blind. That's why he has to keep asking Komugi if she's still there, because he can't see her anymore. This is ironic because his name means "the light that illuminates/shines upon all". He even got some godlike light-related photon-based powers before his death, allowing him to fulfill his name. In addition, as they are playing in the bunker before their deaths, Meruem sees a blinding light radiating from Komugi as she "reverses his reversal", making her "the light that illuminates even the all-powerful light".Despite being far weaker (and blind to boot), her light shined far brighter than his. Then, as he dies, Komugi holds him and feels his head, allowing her to finally "see" or know what his face is like. Thus, as they die, Meruem joins Komugi in blindness as she joins him in death. Meruem can finally see what Komugi has been seeing all along, and knows what it feels like to be blind like her, and Komugi finally knows his face, allowing each to understand the other more as they fade away (the OST used during their death scene is called "Understanding"). Touching, isn't it?
Togashi is a mastermind, and this entire story, especially this arc, is a masterpiece, a beautiful work of art, a canvas depicting love, hatred, innocence, corruption, happiness, suffering, loyalty, betrayal, anger, sadness, life, death, malevolence, destruction, resolve, determination, avarice, sacrifice, "true" power, truth, and understanding.

All the the Ging Flashbacks were either people envisioning him(Gon), or years past while Kites was the most recent so was the most accurate to Ging in the current story line.

there is a theory that says that the nen and the weapon that kite used has the ability to pierce the nen, there are some slots of his weapon that we have not seen, so one of them could allow kite to reincarnate by passing his nen, as a technique secret, similar perhaps to the pacts that make kurapika and gon, just maybe ... but what is clear is that she is kite
There’s a popular theory that kite was reborn into the twin of meruem due to his nen ability (the wand) since we didn’t know what power it possessed, which is also the only logical explanation as well.

The Whale Island episode is such an important emotional moment that was as important as the rest of the bombastic episodes and that's why I love HxH. Those small tender moments is what makes it work!
Colt named her Reina because that's the name of his little sister, he doesn't know the real Reina is now an ant like him now. He assumes she's just dead. Reina also means queen in Spanish which would make sense since she is the sister of the King.
Kite's brain was given to the queen as food his body was kept by Pitou for training. So his consciousness went into the partially formed ant that was growing alongside the king.
Kimchi's denial for Kite's resurrection is too damn sweet.
He can't let himself believe it, because he would be devastated to lose Kite again.

Colt named her Reina because he remembers his past.
If he had all his memories, wouldn't he want to go to her mother right away? I think he remembers the name "Reina" and how that name resonates with him and he probably surmised that connection is someone important to him, when he was a human. But if he had his full memories, I'm pretty sure, he would've at least visited his mother at least once, and if he did visited her, it's weird the mother didn't bring it up in conversation when she saw her Ant daughter.

That's how Togashi writes. He introduces major story items way before they became the center of the story. This time it was Nanika (who will have minor spotlight on this arc) and possibly the "soul" thing the Koala guy would talk about next ep (which holds the secret of Kite's reincarnation.)

Well what can I say, in the fight against Pitou Kaito knew that he would not gain his skill then and that it was based on luck sort of sends his soul to the nearest body, so he is born using the end-of-life queen virtually.
The reincarnation of Kite is widely accepted to be the consequence of the last slot of his nen ability crazy slot, which only would activate if Kites will to survive was great enough. It is however never explained what the last slot does, so this is just one possibility. I don't know what is more far-fetched, but that they fed the queen only his brain is I suppose another solution.

15:24 Meruem doesn't have a sister. Just because she was in the queen belly doesn't mean she is related to Meruem. All of the ants is from the queen until she took them out with the egg and hung them up.
All of the Queen's children (the ants) basically brothers and sisters since they have same mother if they want to view them like that.

Meruem is mostly responsible for the millions of humans that died outside the palace (he was gonna eat them and select soldiers) but the fallout from Netero's bomb is what killed them, which is why Netero did everything he could to beat Meruem, the bomb was his last (and regretful) resort.
Pitou only kept Kite head and the rest of his body had been offered to the queen before the birth of the king and Reina and she did like Victor Frankenstein, she stick different body part with Kite head.

The other factor about Kite being alive is his crazy slot. He always said "bad spin" except for that one time against Pitou. Whatever that thing was that he summoned from crazy slot is probably what allowed Kite to "live on" in that specific way, like maybe it allowed him to retain his same abilities and memories after reincarnation.
