It took 3 days to make but it's finally here! It was definitely fun yet challenging. Pushing myself to make this. I felt it was a very awesome reign, understood why they ended it(ratings) and I will cover his 2nd title reign in the near future. Also, what kind of WCW videos would you guys like? I wanna make something from the promotion either this week or the next.
The craziest thing is that Steve Austin’s first run as WWF champion was only 3 months long and yet is one of the most legendary runs of all time in wrestling, Austin’s whole run from post Summerslam in 1997 to Survivor Series in 1999 will never be bettered or even equaled.
crazy but he was also really really hurt. the man was working with a bad neck. but he was so on fire they had to put the belt on him and feature him. if you go back and watch or read the reviews almost all the title matches he was in were either heavily gimmicky (first blood, buried alive) or were ridiculously over booked with ref bumps and run ins and that's if he was wrestled sometimes he would still be in the main event but as a guest referee it 'enforcer'. that was how they worked around it.
In my mind I always combined his first and second title reigns cause he went only one day in June without the title from March/April to the end of September.
I know your full of nostalgia and I somewhat agree but The Rock was REALLY close and this coming from a Austin fan it got to a point when they fought I didn’t really know who I wanted to win but leaned towards Austin because Austin was too gangsta and when the glass shattered shit went to another level but for a moment…..if ya smell was so close it can’t be second so I’d say equal
Stone Cold Steve Austin first reign started when he defeated Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 14 and his second started when he defeated Kane on an episode of Monday Night RAW after King Of The Ring 1998 then his third happened in 1999 at Wrestlemania 15 and his fourth on another episode of RAW beating The Undertaker and his fifth being when he beat The Rock at Wrestlemania 17 and then later beating Kurt Angle for the WWF Title on an episode of RAW Is WAR in 2001 during the Invasion Angle
This reign was also Mick Foley favorite moment because he liked the corporate Dude Love gimmick And it’s crazy that Foley won 1 Wwe champioship for each of his personalities
I’m such an attitude era baby this still my fav version of the WWF/E title belt.. 2nd thru 5th grade was so lit 🔥 lol thanks to DX, The Dudley Boyz, The Rock & of course STONE COLD Steve Austin. Great video!!! 👌🏾
Great vid as always,u should really do wrestling matches essays and make this another series.. Part 2 of this will prob be long too,he has one of the best reigns of all time

I always thought it was funny that Mr. McMahon didn't want Austin to win at Wrestlemania... but the alternative was Shawn Michaels doing crotch chops and mooning the crowd. Beyond that slight inconsistency, Austin vs. McMahon was the best angle in wrestling history.
Can you please make a video about how good the year 2011 was in wwe there were so many great moments that year such as The Rock's return money in the bank 2011 pay per view Christian vs Randy Orton rivalry and CM Punks Rise
Vince knew he had something special in the works with him vs Austin. The storytelling was just a gift from God, magic, whatever you want to call it. What amazes me is how real it seemed. WWE just felt so real.
Mick Foley should've wrestled as Cactus Jack in his feud with Austin. It would've made the matches feel more grittier and edgier. Also, the fact Cactus Jack "left" because people chanting for Austin as he was being stretchered out of the ring would've given a legitimate grievance against Austin.
Austin told the timekeeper "Vince told you if you don't ring the bell when he wants you will be fired. "well you can always find another job but if you do screw with me well it will be dam hard for you to find another life.
Wow Kane is wwf champion how interesting i bet that it is a long reign you should definitely make a video about Kane’s first wwf championship reign I bet there’s a lot to cover
March 24, 1997 - March 29, 1998 The Road To WrestleMania XIV March 30, 1998 - June 28, 1998 "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's 1st Reign as the World Wrestling Federation Champion, coming out with "The Winged Eagle Belt", and swiping for "The Big Eagle Belt v1", originally intended for the "New WWF Generation Era" but used during this "Attitude Era".
My grandpa took me to me to all the shows. He always said wrestling was F___. By the time the first show ended. He was smiling more than me. Ended up loading up on Austin merch. My grandma was laughing when we got home. I bought him a sable air freshener for his truck. It stayed there long after the smell went away. Good times.

Austin getting the pop the second he won the wwf title was legendary
Along with JR commentary
@@anomaly_1417 Absolutely classic!

And the pops after that were legendary and untouchable.
The hard way led to years of hatred between these two . The best feud in wwe history. Boss vs Employee
This is why Stone Cold was the poster boy of the WWE Attitude Era, FACTS!
The GOAT of professional wrestling
Am I the only one that now wants to see all RAW and PPV episodes from this era?
I'm watching it on Peacock right now.

I like on how when the new WWF scratched logo was first introduced in the attitude era while everyone still had the old WWF logo
They slowly integrated it over time. Thought it was neat too.
Another banger by Wrestling Premier
Another fire match by gargano
