The Rock in 2000 is legendary, he should’ve won at Wrestlemania 2000, it’s criminal that he never left a wrestlemania with the world title. He lost more in his prime than any top guy in history and still remained over.
It’s rare someone stays hot after a Wrestlemania loss but the Rock was different gravy. Now how did Vince allow the WWE booking to go so bad from 2008 onwards after being part of such a successful time from 1997 onwards is a mystery… Even if the product was PG, you had the characters at the time still. Turning Cena heel in 2012 would’ve had been massive business in my opinion. It would have been Hogan-esque circa Bash at the Beach 1996. Cena could’ve been made the leader of the Shield in a new NWO style faction where he became a chicken sh*t heel. WCW was PG during their successful era so the rating was not the issue.

During the rock’s apex Triple H would finesse a lot of undeserved title wins at the rock’s expense, backstage politics its corny asf. its a good thing rock didn’t need the title to be the main star. 2000 was the highest rated year in wwe with numbers rivaling dbz
It’s hard to tell if that backstage segment between Shawn Michaels and The Rock was scripted when The Rock was already talking trash to Shawn before the camera was on them but Shawn still found a way to screw The Rock out of the title when that accidentally hit to Shawn off of the side of the ring from The Rock wasn’t that hard to keep Him down while the McMahons and DX was jumping The Rock but all of a sudden Shawn was back on His feet when The Undertaker came out to help The Rock and The Undertaker gave the Tombstone to Triple H after the final buzzer went off that had Me thinking The Rock was going to call out Shawn to the ring to finally have a physical altercation but it didn’t happen which I understand why but dang it that would’ve been so amazing
Uhmmm I need to correct here... You said who ever came 3rd was so far down. I am assuming you are referring to 1999 here, well in 1999 Mic Foley was just as popular as Rock. Triple H was not too far either. Both Triple H and Mick got just as much tv time as rock, which should be indication of how popular they were. You are usually on point, but don't underestimate the popularity of the rest of the roster in 1999.
It’s either Shawn was knocked out and when he recovered, he saw Undertaker attacking Triple H or maybe… He’s helping a fellow DX brother win the match and the strap and as far as Shawn Michaels’ career as a guest referee goes, it’s shady as heck with Undertaker, Rock and Daniel Bryan getting screwed big time

The rock really carried the company on his back in 2000 when stone cold was out. I will argue with anyone when I say rock was bigger than Austin at that time
He was bigger then Austin up until wrestlemania 17, after that they pretty much shared the number 1 spot
HHH not putting over the rock at mania 16 when that should've been his moment ill never understand that
Backstage politics, they screwed The Rock big time, but he so over at that time, that belt needed the Rock,he would surely have won against austin at wm 17 but he was leaving to film his movie that's why he dropped the belt.
Rock vs HHH at WrestleMania 2000 should have remained a one on one match and as for Big Show and Mick Foley, Big Show will wrestle Kane and Foley remained on the sidelines, “retiring” after losing at No Way Out, until his appointment as the new WWE Commissioner
40:09 Kurt Angle hits a Moonsault on John Cena (?)
This video made me remember how hot was Stephanie on the 2000s. Good God have mercy!
I thought I was the only one that caught that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@KingKidGoku32794 John Cena was still trying to get a big break even if it meant being Kurt Angle’s punching bag or one of the random nobodies standing in the background
Late 1999 rock was extremely over, and don’t forget about 2002 rock as well
This was HHH and the Rocks year dropping the title to each other 2000
One of your best videos by far
I wish I could get 2000- Early 2001 Rock Vs Tribal Chief Roman 😩😩
As a fellow ginger, I love it when you can see Undertaker's red hair. Trust me, it's VERY HARD to cover up red hair. He must have dyed it at least once a week. I'm surprised it didn't fall out.
The Angle, HHH, Steph love triangle was cutting a bit to close to home for HHH even though its entertainment thats how their relationship started for real in a storyline and i think HHH was getting jealous for real about Steph and Kurt
He didn’t think Kurt can beat a guy like him until one of the writers ask can u beat him in a real fight triple h went quiet
@@dwaynejpeterkin yeah that never made sense to me he's an Olympic gold medalist he's one of the most legit guy's ever
Love when he makes attitude era videos.
My GOAT 🐐
The story lines are hilarious 😂😂
"Beautiful moonsault on John Cena"
🤣🤣🤣
the 🐐 !!!!!!!!
Loved this format of vid
Big show:btw I won the rumble not you
Script says The Rock, rest doesn't matter.
Goddamm Stephanie looks 🤤
I legit *LOL* ‘d at the SBMM reference 😂
Good job on the vid can’t imagine how long it took for it all to come together
The rock was more over then stone cold I just watch all raw episodes from 1997 to 2001
Just 3 minutes in, but why did you skim over the first 3 months? Did I miss something?
I talked about a lot of it in Triple H's title reign video
@@wrestlingspremier ah I see! All good. Really enjoyed this. What a time :)
Perfect timing
His feud with hhh that year was epic
2000 Rock was god tier.
40:10 where tf did John cena come from?
God I miss these days
42:12 Cena entered the match to get moonsaulted by angle lol.
I think what I’m more curious about are the chants directed at Shane McMahon are.
Brilliant
It kinda sucks that The Undertaker never won that specific title as a badass
This was a great way to put the rock over.
The Rock slap causing weird booking is a theory I can get behind.
so many matches with screwy finishes
When Austin came back in 2000 he couldn’t get his spot back coz Rock & Triple H were permanent main eventers and took WWF to another level.
Bruh nobody could take his spot
During the rock’s apex Triple H would finesse a lot of undeserved title wins at the rock’s expense, backstage politics its corny asf. its a good thing rock didn’t need the title to be the main star. 2000 was the highest rated year in wwe with numbers rivaling dbz
exactly 💯 HHH was a forced main eventer. it wasnt organic like the new generation may think
Ayyy W video bro
"FINALLY!!!!!!!!"
Shawn Michaels shorts 🤣
Tha GOAT
GANG
I love the rock of all time 😍❤️✊🐂⚡🥰
40:09 beautiful moonsault lands on john cena lmaooo what???
Please do the return of the undertaker’s American badass in judgment day 2000.
lets go
W video
You're late but great vid though
Rock vs. Benoit - worst main event of the year
Uhmmm I need to correct here...
I never understood why Triple H didn't get dq when Road Dogg X-Pac attacked The Rock
It’s either Shawn was knocked out and when he recovered, he saw Undertaker attacking Triple H or maybe…
He’s helping a fellow DX brother win the match and the strap and as far as Shawn Michaels’ career as a guest referee goes, it’s shady as heck with Undertaker, Rock and Daniel Bryan getting screwed big time
@@michaelbandada8330 he always been a shady ref
2000 rock was the best but after 2001 he became skinny like he lost weight
I did not know that John Cena was in 2000
John Cena? 😂
A punk son of a *pop* lmao
Rock > Austin
2000 Rock = 1999 Austin
2000 VIOVEN ENTERTAINMENT the rock SMALL is cooking
I always preferred the rock over Austin, rock is the goat for me🔥
