The longest video of 2022(so far). I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving(if you celebrated). I wished to post this early but with a video this long, it's never guaranteed. The Rock's run was nothing short of iconic, he was the guy WWF need in a time where Stone Cold was gone and in many ways, the company did not miss a beat with him as the number 1 guy. What did you think of The Rock's run?

Hhh was the 3rd biggest bk then in the wwe nd top heel, if it wasn't for hhh been in the middle of the rock and Austin sandwich then neither would of had a genuine top guy to fight against and hhh did both of them so I find you saying the rock and Austin been miles ahead of anybody in wwe I have to respectively disagree with that comment, but overall good video nd content

The Rock in 2000 is legendary, he should’ve won at Wrestlemania 2000, it’s criminal that he never left a wrestlemania with the world title. He lost more in his prime than any top guy in history and still remained over.

It’s rare someone stays hot after a Wrestlemania loss but the Rock was different gravy. Now how did Vince allow the WWE booking to go so bad from 2008 onwards after being part of such a successful time from 1997 onwards is a mystery… Even if the product was PG, you had the characters at the time still. Turning Cena heel in 2012 would’ve had been massive business in my opinion. It would have been Hogan-esque circa Bash at the Beach 1996. Cena could’ve been made the leader of the Shield in a new NWO style faction where he became a chicken sh*t heel. WCW was PG during their successful era so the rating was not the issue.

2000 was really The Rock's year tbh. Everything about him was so charismatic and enigmatic. Anytime he wrestled, it felt like a final in a sports game. Add to that, all the shenanigans and craziness of the Attitude Era, every show was just pure excitement. Plus, The Rock always came clutch in his matches, so there's another positive too.

Rock was head and shoulder above everyone & was by far the most popular superstar on the roster. However his booking was HORRIBLE : didn't get a clean win at the Rumble, didn't get a proper blowoff win against Triple H who was his biggest rival (It was Vince Mcmahon who took the pinfall lol), lost clean on free tv against Undertaker while being WWF Champion, lost the title to a rookie Kurt Angle, ate the pin in the 6-man in a cell at Armageddon and on top of that, didn't get his crowning moment at Wrestlemania 2000. The fact that he could stay on top despite such a shitty booking blows my mind. If anything, it's a testament of The Rock's greatness

2000 is also notable for it being the first year that The Rock spent the entirety of it as a babyface. Yeah, he started out as a face as Rocky Maivia in 1996 when he debuted, but he turned heel only 9 months later in August 97. Rock spent a large chunk of 1998 as a heel in The Nation, and was only a face for two months before turning heel again in The Corporation. Rock started 99 as a heel still with The Corporate team for the first 4 months, and then turned face and stayed that way for the rest of the year. In 2000, Rock was a face the whole time.

During the rock’s apex Triple H would finesse a lot of undeserved title wins at the rock’s expense, backstage politics its corny asf. its a good thing rock didn’t need the title to be the main star. 2000 was the highest rated year in wwe with numbers rivaling dbz

It’s hard to tell if that backstage segment between Shawn Michaels and The Rock was scripted when The Rock was already talking trash to Shawn before the camera was on them but Shawn still found a way to screw The Rock out of the title when that accidentally hit to Shawn off of the side of the ring from The Rock wasn’t that hard to keep Him down while the McMahons and DX was jumping The Rock but all of a sudden Shawn was back on His feet when The Undertaker came out to help The Rock and The Undertaker gave the Tombstone to Triple H after the final buzzer went off that had Me thinking The Rock was going to call out Shawn to the ring to finally have a physical altercation but it didn’t happen which I understand why but dang it that would’ve been so amazing

Uhmmm I need to correct here... You said who ever came 3rd was so far down. I am assuming you are referring to 1999 here, well in 1999 Mic Foley was just as popular as Rock. Triple H was not too far either. Both Triple H and Mick got just as much tv time as rock, which should be indication of how popular they were.
You are usually on point, but don't underestimate the popularity of the rest of the roster in 1999.

It’s either Shawn was knocked out and when he recovered, he saw Undertaker attacking Triple H or maybe…
He’s helping a fellow DX brother win the match and the strap and as far as Shawn Michaels’ career as a guest referee goes, it’s shady as heck with Undertaker, Rock and Daniel Bryan getting screwed big time
