Haven't beaten it yet, but this game has delivered almost everything i wanted to see in a Fate game. It's a game that actually feels like you're in a Grail War.
My exact feelings, from the combat to the way the story is paced, it delivers a true Fate experience
Crucially, additions like the Rogue Servants were made to add meaningful gameplay between the major story beats. The creators understood that a game and an anime/LN are two different mediums and added appropriate material to make the experience even more satisfying.
@@Bustermachine Rogue Servants are honestly awesome. I hope they make another anime like Zero at some point with this concept in mind.

This game already had me with Musashi, but to add Gil + all these other guest Servants/characters, idc what anyone says about rehashing old characters or milking or whatever, this game is so hype! Can't wait to play this!
The very concept of Fate, esp Throne of Heroes summoning is pretty much 'milking' the characters, I have no idea what r those people thinking😅

@@derplololol9717 nah in a turn based game the enemy's attacks you back once it's their turn . In this game they just stand around and wait to die .
Sometimes if you wait a minute 1 dude in a group of 50 will try to hit you to keep up the illusion. But of course he is way to slow , and his attack doesn't really have any range .
And even if he hits you you will just armor through it , take 3% damage and kill him in 2 hits .

The strongest point of this game is that it's good. It just does not fail you. You expect that some part of it would be bad. But no. Every aspect of it is polished and thought of. And it is also a long awaited action game in the Fate universe. I don't know how to put it. It's like to recieve a Christmas present in the middle of autumn. This game is beautiful.
I think some parts of the story slag on and forcefully gives you out of place fights with random stock enemies. Also the fact that some new intresting enemies are only introduced towards the end and appear like at max 2-3 times before never being shown again is wack.
I still really like the game but combat, while fun, gets shafted by boring trash fights sometimes.
It's good but the endings certainly feel like they have been clipped for a lack of a better word. Unfortunately the most complete one feels like the entreat the darkness route but even that one feels rather abrupt.
Welp, that's another game to add to my list of "must-get games of 2023"

Gil was never that hated,Only Westerners who are not able understand Gray characters that don't fit in the Basic good guy,in Japan he was one of the most popular type moon characters

@@luksalter8200 I was talking about the sevants lore wise, with some exceptions like charlemagne and ozymandias there was a lot of servants that disliked or felt unconfortable with Gil around them (and gil making it worse with his personality) but now he is right there with them instead of distancing himself. Media wise Gil is popular to the point of being recognized even by people who never had any contatct with fate verse through his sheer charisma.
@@Matt_ShootsDW4 The animation is kinda misleading but the blondie is certainly gil, its easier to figure that in the 2nd trailer of the game because of the VA and the way he talks plus Gil had already roleplayed as an npc in fgo before as a hobby

Musashi is like the Gilgamesh from final fantasy series. He's able to make cameos on all games by rift travelling through dimensions.

@@CuteAssTigergames pretty fun, used to have a naruto one like this back in the day for the psp so I know what kind of gameplay I’m in for. It is a bit hard to get into, but once the plot picks up I think I’ll enjoy it for what it is.

They will not be happening for a while you probably get it 5 years. The studio who make the anime isn't big plus enough. we already have other work such as fate grand order lostbelt 6 which is next in getting an anime adaptation in the future.

@CuteAssTiger I have no idea how the game is gonna play I'm just talking from a pure spectacle point of view. If the game is successful at making the combos feel impactful and flashy then that's the spectacle side of a hack and slash done. There's been pretty much minimal gameplay shown so I'm not gonna jump to conclusions on the difficulty or AI settings of it.

Tip: Fate and Type-Moon works DO NOT work as animes. They are meant to be told in their intended medium, so the animated results are most of the time very disappointing. For example, Fate/stay night wad a work made EXCLUSIVELY to work as a visual novel, and Fate/Extra CCC as anything but as a game breaks up. Probably Samurai Renmant will be the same.

@@blade9727 Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/Zero adaptations are okay (tho Zero isn't even one of the best titles, CCC, FSN and FGO2 are miles away). The rest are either bad or mediocre. And then we have Babyonia and Solomon adaptations, but they are respectively the 7th and 8th main story chapters of FGO (being Solomon the climax of part 1 of the game), while chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 remain unadapted (Camelot movies are so bad they do not exist and contradict the rest of the game).
Tsukihime anime is so bad it is a memes. FSN first route anime is bad. UBW lacks a lot of what made the VN work. HF movies are a fanfic level disaster. Apocrypha anime is bad. Kaleid anime ends up really messy. Case Files anime doesn't work. Last Encore is a sequel of a bad end of Fate/Extra...
Picking exclusively animes make everything much more frustrating and complex in a bad way. While the originals are better (tho not every fate work is good, Kaleid is now one of the worst spin-offs).
Why are the animes popular? Dunno. First FSN anime ever was quite bad and many people hate it even without reading the VN, but it became really popular in Japan. I guess it's Fate's concepts special charm, which make one be interested even when the result is poor.
@@rindou97 maybe you expecting a little too much from the adaptations man (like many "other hardcore fans" that taking it a little bit too far) nothing is perfect does it need to be perfect? no! like the majority of the series you mentioned I enjoy most of them, (fate/Kaleid,UBW,HF,Case Files,Zero,Kara no Kyoukai)
(Babyonia and Solomon, Camelot even thought I never played the FGO) so long the shows gives you the information you need and animation and execution, hell most people got introduced into the franchise because of the animes? so it's not complete loss. but I do agree some series are a bit questionables when it comes to adaptaion and some other things like,
tsukihime 2003 that needs a remake, fate stay night 2006 as someone who played the VN it was disappointing hell heaven's feel movies may not be as well adapted as UBW but I enjoyed nonetheless, Apocrypha the writing was bad even in the novels, fate/Kaleid there's some "elements" in that series that I didn't like too, fate Last Encore.......well that was just bad.
of course there is missteps in every franchise right there and there, but so long you enjoyed the series and it gets you into fate then who cares! the whole point is that you should enjoy yourself in the franchise, if some want to play the games then let them if some want to watch the shows instead of reading or play the games then let them, the important thing is so long you have fun and enjoy yourself in the fate franchise then good for you.
but yeah that's about it man sorry for babbling all of this, what I'm trying to say, the result maybe poor but even so long you enjoy yourself and it gets you into fate then who cares!?

@@blade9727 My issue isn't about people enjoying or not the works, my point is about adaptations being lackluster and poor in execution. It isn't a matter of expectatives even, since HF second movie killed any expective due how bad it was (it made me hate Sakura even more, it was impressing) and still final movie disappointed me failing to get what made the route cool. And I know really well what I say when I stand FSN CAN'T work as an anime adaptation. An original route made for anime how it was Deen's supposed to be originally? Sure. That might work. Anime originals always interest me, and Last Encore despite its issues ended up as my fav Fate anime for how special it was. But FSN was work which resulted from Nasu's interest in writing something which made use of narrative's unique aspects and visual novel's tricks and enviromental inversion. The result was a novel which spins three outcomes, but one single core narrative and meant as a novel.
I don't blame FSN anime for being poor since they'rd adaptating a work not meant to be portrayed through cinematography, but even in that regard I think the Type-Moon animes most of them waste their medium and try to be great through animation, but can't portray their meaning and essence correctly. Just... imitations which attempt to be something they can't, but also do not know how to be their own. Adapting content isn't just covering the plot, it also means conveying ideas, messages, sensations, etc. So in that regard, Fate animes feel like some commercial idea which still tries to go beyond at times, but never delivers what it tries to go for.

Since Gilgamesh may be the shopkeeper in this game, does that mean we're getting something like a Father Rodin from Bayonetta deal with him? Like, buy a certain number of items, or buy a particular item, or maybe bring him a particular item that unlocks rock-hard super boss fight against the King of Heroes himself. Win the fight and we either get a legendary weapon from his Vault or he just straight up joins our ranks?
