These videos help me over analyze my favorite music even more it’s great
Wow, this was really incredible!! In Reptile the flams with the side snare was such a nice touch, Myke. And the song built so well- You even had pretty much all your cymbals rocking with ya lol. And on Hurt the gong drum sounded so good, really had a great effect. That song always gets me though, dammit. Really incredible drumming, some of my favourites here!
Thanks, man. In "Reptile", the snare-flams were taken from Chris Vrenna's live version (you can see it on either the Woodstock '94 performance, or on a more-recently-released film of the Further Down the Spiral tour). As for "Hurt", I burned out on that song years ago, but I'll admit, it snuck up on me when tracking the cover. It really is a beautiful song. I just listened to too much NIN back in the day, lol.
😎👏👏👏👏🥁👍
Dude this was better than I anticipated as well! Everything looks cooler played on your kit! 🤘
Everything except me, lol
All your no drum parts with cool movie clips are cool too, it’s always something I wouldn’t think about pairing with whatever song
Some of the video is paired to be silly, but in this particular case, I was referencing something I used to do when I was a teenager. I would watch movies with the sound off and just listen to albums instead. In the case of Akira, parts of The Downward Spiral synced up in ways I found kinda neat (though I'm 100% certain it was all coincidental). As for "Hurt", the live version on the UK edition of Further Down the Spiral syncs up to the last 6 minutes of Akira better than the studio version.
@ crazy, I’m gonna use that and people are going to think I’m so cool
