The microkorg is a ridiculously powerful synth, I think the reason it gets unfairly dismissed as a toy is largely down to its rinky-dink style interface and near total ubiquity in the mid to late 2000s. There was a point where almost every single indie band who'd decided to "go electronic" had one on stage.
@@attilamurvai3108i dont like it personally. i know its an extremely powerful little synth capable of doing just about anything within the subtractive synthesis range but i absolutely despise the lack of hands-on controls, and korg addressed that issue by reducing the already lacking hands-on controls even further with the mK XL. im waiting for a Korg MS2000 to show up near me so i can have the power of the microkorg with a LOT more hands-on controls
Hey, thanks for watching! I like the SD-1 for a wee bit of extra grit on synths, the output on the MicroKorg is pretty high so I usually just have it going out at a quarter volume with the drive at 0 on the pedal. After the SD-1 is an AKAI analog delay pedal which doesn't work properly so sometimes it does these cool timing slips (you can hear it a bit from 1:25 on). On this video it looks like I also have the mix going to an old 90s Digitech rack unit which you can just see in the background.
It warms my heart knowing that new generations are still listening to Richard.
Never hate on gear. People talk sh*t about the Micro Korg and he's killing it
who hates on MicroKorg? :O i thought it is universally liked

Only thing missing is that faint voice echoing.... sounds like a kid! Beautiful work here
Thanks! It would have felt wrong to try and replicate that part, would be cool to know what the source was though
i've actually was searching just for it -- the "instrumenetal" version of this track ! =)
du dep dop doppp...
Anyone know how to remake this patch on the microkorg please ?
Thanks !
Looks like the boss pedal is an important part of your sound! What effects do you use?

@@paulgstewart That delay pedal bit is so cool.
Did you know death note sampled cliffs it's called reasoning
Cool- hadn't heard that before now, thanks :)
what pedal is the micro korg being fed through ?
The instrumental is perfect, but it feels different without a girl saying something on background
Ejave ejave ejave bah
can I have permission to use this cover in one of my videos?
You don't need permission to use the cover it's not his song and he doesn't have any rights to it. Just credit it in the desc to be nice.
Giordy ah okay thank you!!
@@yourunemployedfriendat2pm Even tho it is true, it is still his recording. ;)
