I went to Pine Knob in the early 90s to see Depeche Mode -- and "see" isn't the word, because my friends and I NEVER saw them. It was so crowded, all we could hear was blasting music, as everyone was milling around. I was around 26 and felt like an old man there. I never went back there again!
I've never been a fan of the outdoor 'sheds' with their 'obstructed view' seating, general admission lawn-seats (open to the elements) and their relatively non-immersive big concert experience. Albeit, Pine Knob is a rather legendary venue for me as I often heard of, or read about so many great American and English bands playing there, who for whatever reason did not tour into Canada back-in-the-day. In the 2020s it's obviously still a popular spot and hopefully someday I will get there to experience it.
@Johnpatterson4272 I hope it's better now than it was in the early 90s. I only went ONCE - never got so much as a glimpse of the band, everyone was just milling around and acted like they didn't even know a concert was going on. I never went back, thankfully.
There used to be actual hills before they bulldozed them into one sweeping landscape. Better for seating capacity I suppose but call me sentimental for the 1970s-80s.

Thank you. I'm going to a concert this year. I needed to feed the grounds 🎉
