It sound authentic because it is. “Steady Ground” was recorded for the “AALIYAH” album. It was actually considered to be the first single. The song ended up not making the album because she didn’t get around to recording it in time. This version is only the demo she recorded.
@@matthewharjo7512 no it’s not, there are at least 3 or 4 versions of the song and a couple of them have different vocalizings. one also has an entirely different recording. it was also not considered for the first single, that would be Loose Rap. but Barry didn’t like it and so he asked Tim to do another song for the lead and Tim agreed on the condition that it was WNAR. so that’s what they did. Tim and Aaliyah were not on great terms hence why Barry had to ask and most likely why Tim and Aaliyah are filmed separately for the video.
