My grandmother used to say Khukuris were precious like jewelry. You had to have one hundreds of years ago. Young Nepalese used to leave their homes and cross mountains and jungles with just a khukuri for better future. They would go wherever the path lead them. There were no roads back then. One khukuri could do multiple tasks like cutting trees, animals, building homes, fighting, etc. Jai Nepal 🇳🇵
She is describing Khukuries so beautifully with different stories for different khukuries, we didn't know there are so many different khukuri with different stories.
I'm loving this girl cause the way she is explaining all these knifes which are really different form other countries and used to use all those types of knifes in the 1st and 2nd world war💝💝💝💝 Proud to be Nepali 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵 Lot's of love to all the people around the world and specially to you to girl💝💝💝💝💝
I have a kuhkri that my grand uncle obtained when he served in India sometime around the 1890s or so. He gave it to his sister, my grandmother when she came to Canada around 1907. She gave it to my father and he gave it to me. It is a fine hand forged weapon with some engraving along the blade. I would really like to find out how old it is.
What a beautiful and nice girl and she also knows everything about the Kukris. Congratulations!!! My dream for many years is to acquire an original Kukri from Nepal. Who knows, maybe one day, I'll make it.
I discovered the kukri by chance and I fell in love with it, this also introduced me to the history of Nepal. The first kukri I bought (I have 6 at home) is a 30cm 3 chirra. The first time I used it, I had to kick it off the wood because I couldn't do it by hand. With a kukri you can split wood like with hatchets. Their shape is hypnotic to me
mr unknown if world war start will you compare pubg with world war stop commenting unnecessary thing. Pubg is just a game and in real life you won't even survive for some days in wars
It's always enjoyable when a sales person knows their job. But when you find a beautiful woman that knows everything about something you don't expect makes it even more enjoyable for me. The fact that she either studied or was raised around knives is great. There is no way I could have left that store without buying something. But I love knives
Being a Gorkha Daughter, she was raised among these knives,we are still being raised with those knives, it's a must have at every home for domestic use.
I love to buy one nce khukuri.... The shop is also very good... At the same time the one who is explaining is too too pretty good..She is providing a formative information.... Only tday I come to knw why ther is two cut mark near the handle...🙂 Thank you...

But anyway thank you so much for this amazing video loved it so much. Lots of information i also dont know even i am from bhojpur where they are made.
This beautiful lady describes and educates very well. I love these khukris. I have always wanted an authentic khukri from nepal(khukri house). I have a khukri that was made in Pakistan. It's nice and solid but not the same as the original. Thank you for sharing this amazing video. God bless
So nice and perfect discretion I love khukuri but there is not show prize can you please tell me the how much rupees for gorkha aramy khukuri used in first world war
Had a chance to buy what I was pretty sure was an authentic one in Hawaii . The price was right but I wasn't sure if i could take it on the plane . Should have just mailed it in hindsight
The curve of the blade is most important. It has more of a slicing effect rather than cutting by sheer brute force. Anything that comes across the top or mid part of a swinging blade therefore will be sliced in half. Very close to the French guillotine blade but more effective and mobile weapon.
She knows her stuff about khukuris. The only thing I disagreed with was about how the notch (Cho) prevents blood from getting on the handle. I feel like that is just something she's taught to say to foreigners in order to sell khukuris. But everything else she spoke about with how they decapitate goats with one swift chop or them being used in the world wars is all true. Thanks for sharing this video.
*SHE GIVES MANY WRONG INFORMATION* : 1) She says that choil is a blood stopper. but it's not. it's purely ceremonial. Blood comes from the side of the blade also. 2) That is not a World War 1 khukri. WW1 khukris were the MK-1 and Mk-2 British standard issue khukri. and it looked nothing like the one she is showing. 3) Again she shows a 3 chira khukri and says that it's used in World War 2. which is not true. British Standard issue military Khukri was the old Mk-2 and the Mk-3 issue. Made by a manufacturer in India called Windlass steel. The company still exists in the name of Windlass steel Crafts. 4) Gorkhas don't put huge khukris on their head. 5) 8:15 a throwing knife is never a well balanced knife. It has to have more weight in the blade. *As a weapons collector and student of historical weapons, I think these are true to the best of my knowledge.* This lady needs to put in more time into research. All the information is readily available.
