My complements great presentation, I am an Italian from Sicily living in the states for 50 years but I go back to Italy every year it’s some thing in my heart that call me back, it is just beautiful
My ancestors came from the Campobasso province so i visited the city and several of the villages a few years ago! I wasn't expecting it to be bad or anything but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice of a place it was! You should go to the Processione dei Misteri in Campobasso, it's every year in June ... Fantastic festival i happened to be there for. Esiste!!
I've been house shopping in Molise for a while now. We can always go to Rome when we want, but I rather have a beautiful home in a hilltop town. Please please, post more videos on Molise.
@@NaturallyKenya Hello again :) Since my last comment we ended up closing on a home in Castelbottaccio sight unseen and flying in next week via Rome to stay a couple of months!
My family lineage from Molise, from the city of San Martino in Pensilis, been to Italy 18 times. Molise is a small region, not as touristy as other parts of italy, but is calm and relaxing, I love the Tremiti Islands, which is a good asset to the region. BTW pampanella originated from my family, two of my cousins (Aunt & Uncle) were long time butchers in San Martino in Pensilis. I know a little bit of the story behind it.
Ciao! So cool. I’m such a fan of Pampanella and I have really enjoyed my visits to San Martino in P. I’ve even been to a few of the summer concerts in the past. Haha! Not sure if they are happening this year, due to the pandemic, but I hope so!
@@NaturallyKenya My mother keeps in contact with her family in San Martino and she told me a few days ago that they can at least go out now, they've been quarantined alot longer with strict guidelines, hopefully things will get back to normal completely. Im at least planning on visiting next year again for 3 to 6 months, sometime in the late spring into summer months, the beaches are great, plus the islands. San Martino does have those outside concerts especially in the summer which I've seen, some really good music venues. I think Corsa dei Carri is back too, which they were trying to discontinue a few years ago. Enjoy the Pampanella, ciao
Of course! With all the current restrictions, especially traveling between regions recently, it is a bit difficult to document all things Molise in realtime! But I have so much footage from the past, so don't worry! It's in the works. 😉
I am currently in the process of reconstructing my family tree and recently learned that my great-great-grandfather was from the province of Campobasso before emigrating to Uruguay in the late 1800's. I hope to visit that region soon! PD: I hope to find out soon from which exact town he was.
We love this video! Great history and beautiful overview!!

Isernia! How cool! You definitely exist. Haha! I am such a supporter of Molise. I love it there. ❤️ Perfect escape from the chaos of Rome.
