I know this video is't about the mount specifically but I run a 102" whip on that 3 magnet roof mount on top of my F250. I live in west columbia and talked to a guy from my driveway to a guy in Sandy run around 15 miles or so away as the crow flies. Clear as a bell. Sounded almost like we were talking on cellphones.
The magnet mound holds that whip solid as a rock at 70 mph no issues. Matter of fact, when I remove it to clean (dry) the paint it takes a *VERY DELIBERATE* action to say the least. I would recomend it regardless what antenna you want to run. If it will hold mine it will hold anything else.
Got to get your ticket now John!!
lol, I know it!
I love the triple Magnet Mount. Me no Friend of these Outbacker Multiband Whips with the Jumper Cables for qsy. But find out for yourself if this Antenna will satisfy your Needs, John. All you can do is just try. Good Luck & happy Sunday- 73 de Uncle Günter from across the Pond 💯🙋♂

Thanks, you too! 73's
Awesome thanks for sharing my friend 73
i have the same antenna under a different name but 1 tip adjustable also have the same antenna analyzer works pretty good ...
I've been looking at those multiband trap antennas. I'll probably get 1 now. Thanks for the great video.
I finally got a radio working, so you should shoot me with a time you're going to be on channel 38 usb. I'll get in my car and try to pick you out. I finally got 1 running. It's mobil but is up. It's a Stryker 955 so hopefully we can ratchet jaw a bit
I'm on the radio now, I'm hearing the north east (RI, Ma, Ct). if you're in those areas, try giving me a call. 73's from 151 SC.
I'm sure you open coil antenna is going to handle a bit more power than that multiband antenna but not bad comparing signal to signal.
I had a friends who had original outbacker antenna, it worked well from 3.5 MHz to 30 MHz, with good ground like car as ground. so I believe this one would work as well. AG6JU
Hey John,
