I don't think vader actually choked stormtroopers. Not in the movies or series at least. He would mostly kill captains and other higher officers
Could be during the battle of Endor when he is having second thoughts about the dark side. Just on the way to go down and meet Luke.
It must of been taco Tuesday. No one can get mad on taco Tuesday and vader chowing down on tacos explains the gas and the hiccups.
Vader only kills you if you're incompetent,extremely annoying, actively trying to kill him or if it's necessary for his plans. He isn't going to murder a random trooper because of mild embarrassment.
He once killed a stormtrooper for seeing his face unmasked accidentally. Through tbf, perhaps Vader did it to save his reputation? Cus that stormtrooper said Mother of Moons! when he saw Vader's face.

Having the hiccups with the kind of respiratory problems that Vader has has to be a nightmare
I had hiccups nonstop for three and a half days right after I broke my collarbone. How I didn't just end it all, I have no idea.
I don't even want to know what that fart smelled like.
Well, I'd imagine that, regardless of it being the result of a normal bodily function or an injury caused by the sulfuric/volcanic environment... 😅

I Thought the exact same thing when Vader got in. He had to be pissing himself. I was expecting a puddle to form at his feet, but the catheter gag is better.. ;-)

Vader having the hiccups is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long, long while.
I laughed at very single one. And the little fart at the end was the cherry on top.

That is a point of great storytelling. That this character has been built up in a way that the tension was significantly increased just for that reason.

I honestly never was worried about the trooper. He was just a stormtrooper, and Vader rarely hurt Stormtroopers. That, and he could read thoughts. He probably could read that the trooper was nervous and knew why he was leaning over(catching his breath).
Vader doesn't read minds. He senses fear.

The DS2 crew members had some time to evacuate, so he might be ok.

At least now we know it’s not plot armor or the force, the stormtroopers are just a little toasty in their gear and miss because of discomfort
They can't see properly out of those holes, and can't hold their rifles properly because of the jaw bulges on the helmet. Green Berets would miss a lot if they had to work in that gear.
Damn this is a beautiful vid on so many levels. Looks flawless, but the story! So many emotions - from FNG enjoying tunes - to freaking out - to relieved- to shitting his pants - to cunningly saving his ass - to breathing again. And Lord Vader - what a nightmare to have hiccups with those respiratory problems!

The answer to that question? Because it features believable and relatable situations. I'd imagine a lot of people in this comment section can relate to being in such a tense situation with their boss, knowing their job and livelihood (or life in this stormtrooper's case) are on the line and can't afford to screw up.
