Wow, that's so cool! I always wonder if the artists they cover are aware of it. The Big Push covers are always so creative, keeping the original intact but really making it their own.
Yep, and it's a Gorran Kendall original. I adore listening to the amazing re-interpretations the band does of other people's music, but man, The Big Push deserves some serious recognition for their originals. Like, from the rest of the world, I mean; those of us who are here are well aware!
Yes, they are amazingly tight as a band. But then again,, they lived together (these3 dudes) for years, so... true brothers. What amazes me is how different they are as musicians, as singers, as songwriters, as personalities, and yet, when they get together - magic happens instantly
I think the highest I've heard Ren sing is either in the Man's World busk with Sam, or at the end of What Kind of Woman is This with The Big Push. Lowest is probably at the end of Back on 74/Message in a Bottle. Most distortion would be at the end of Crutch. Gorran is brilliant on the harmonica. On his travels recently an old man heard him playing and gave him a bag of his old harmonicas. So he has quite a selection at the moment! Really suits Gorran's classic, folky sound. I love that they didn't become a homogenised boyband type group. They all have their own Identity as artists and the band is a collaborative way to just enjoy that together.
More harmonica in “Sweet Little Lady” Live version. It’s not in the official video for the song. It’s why I prefer the live, plus it’s a dope one take video.
Gorran was known as the Bob Dylan guy when he busking by himself. He really is a traveling minstel type if guy. He's been in Spain and France busking since the Big Push split.
Another couple of good ones w/the Big Push where they each get a moment to shine--in What Kind of Woman is This, Ren shows his range again; & one of my favorite ones (a busking session) Wade in the Water, Nina Simone mashup where Ren plays base and loses himself in the music, and the other shine, also. Enjoy watching your reactions. :)
Pretty sure it was on his Twitter not insta. I only say that because I know people might go looking for it (as I did last year when I learned about it) and it would save time if people knew what to look for - that said, I’ve only found a news story about it recently as I think his old tweets may have been archived and don’t show up in searches now.
Thank you, Turk, for doing this, I have been waiting patiently for it, I know I requested several times .. It is my favorite by them ,, because of the harmonies and the foot tambourine and harmonica Goran said when they started the band they all agree the harmonies was very important for their sound Yes all three are very talent and very different, but they are magical together and they friends still today and so glad to hear that .. Goran and Ren said there is talk about them getting back together to do something one day so there is hope ... I would love them to do an online gig...
Didn't you hear Ren go low in I Shot the Sherriff/Road to Zion etc... busking video? This is one of my favourite Big Push covers, it always makes me smile at cheeky simplicity, yet utter brilliance.
He sounds goood on that mouth harp! They all sing well and i love the shoe tambourines. Also, can you turn on your super thanks button. Seems like you would be eligible for it. Then folks can make a one-time tip to you.
I reckon this is the best example of Ren’s belting capabilities. There was a little on Back on 74… and some in his busking sessions, but to your point, this shows great control.
Recommending Tommy Johansson for a listen. He's former guitarist for Sabaton, lead guitarist and singer for Majestica, but a good start is his solo work on his YT channel. And a good song to start with is his most popular to date - She's Gone (Steelheart). Metal singer, but covers everything from Disney to Celine to metal and everything else in between. He uploads a new video almost every Friday, so there are lots to choose from.
This one was from before they found Glenn, I think, back when Ren played drums when they couldn't do without. ... any Renegades know if we have videos of that? Ren on drums with the band?
Hails from the Netherlands, from a fellow metalhead. I don't know how mutch metal bands you know. But would love to see you do raactions to the following bands 🤘 Falling in Reverse - Popular Monster Nightwish - Ghost Love Score Epica - Consign to Oblivion Ayreon -The Day that the World Breaks Down Thanks stay metal 🤘
I have heard of those bands but have not listened to them except for Aryeon ( I know Computer eyes and have covered Day 6 with my band a few times ), I'll likely be doing a few nightwish songs soon
Fatboy Slim lives in Brighton and saw the Push busking this years ago. He filmed them and posted it on his socials which is pretty cool.
Wow, that's so cool! I always wonder if the artists they cover are aware of it. The Big Push covers are always so creative, keeping the original intact but really making it their own.
Swan song has great harmony.❤

The Big Push, original, called, SWAN SONG or the remake of Sting's ENGLISHMAN IN NEW YORK. ❤❤
Yes, they are amazingly tight as a band. But then again,, they lived together (these3 dudes) for years, so... true brothers.

A bit like the Beatles......magical. Good looking yummy❤ band of brothers having fun
Its just top fucking tier
I actually like this more than the original. And I loved the original back in the day! There's a Beatlesy feel too this one for sure.
All of this!!!
“get stuffed with those harmonies” my fav quote yet! 😂 great reaction as always! ❤🤘
Mine too!! Love this beauty from TBP Legends. Great reaction ❤

Oh yes please, that’s a gem ❤
That is an amazing example of a 3 song horizontal medley.
This is why I call them the modern day Beatles! They are ALL so talented ❤
Gorran was known as the Bob Dylan guy when he busking by himself. He really is a traveling minstel type if guy. He's been in Spain and France busking since the Big Push split.
I'm not sure I want to say how many times I've re-watched those busking livestreams. ☺
They're not regular people so it's understandable. And again, nice shirt 🤘
I highly recommend "Precious" from the Big Push.
+1
Love the Pink Floyd shirt 🩷
Fatboy Slim once saw them performing this and liked it so much he recorded it on his phone and posted it on his instagram

Get stuffed 😅😅. Love it. Please do Swan song. The harmonizing is amazing ❤
Wow! What a song! And another genuine reaction full of knowledge. Thank you!
Love this! Thanks for a great reaction! ☮️❤️😎
Another fun video. Love your commentary 😂😂 We're all jealous of so much talent from that group.😊
If you get a chance you should react to Sam Tompkins and Ren performing Bline Eyed inside a parking garage.
So different individually and so harmonious together, brilliant
Cheers from outback Australia Turk 🦘🦘🦘
😂😂 The police are coming to arrest you for being too metal 😂❤

Great great take on that song. They are fantastic together.
Didn't you hear Ren go low in I Shot the Sherriff/Road to Zion etc... busking video?

Dude, you look so happy and impressed with this performance. So I suppose we agree then.😊
He sounds goood on that mouth harp! They all sing well and i love the shoe tambourines. Also, can you turn on your super thanks button. Seems like you would be eligible for it. Then folks can make a one-time tip to you.
G'day Turk, young fella.
I'm an old music lover from the home of the Stranglers. Ggreat reaction as usual rock on
1 Sec in and you say "Get Stuffed!" LMAO I have not heard that in a long while🤣
I reckon this is the best example of Ren’s belting capabilities. There was a little on Back on 74… and some in his busking sessions, but to your point, this shows great control.
They sing all three on "What Kind of Woman is This", too. And I love "Wade in the Water"!
So glad you did this one!
I really love your channel, ive binged the whole lot, hope your gig was fun this weekend x
This sounds like the original, very blues sounding.
Excellent reaction bud, may be you could check out the Big Push's version of "Bongo Bong" it is epic. Keep up the great work mate.
