I was at this set and was so taken aback by that asshole. I was chanting for Ronnie the whole time. And after the next song Ronnie apologize for letting his anger get him carried away and how he felt guilty about it afterward. He then encouraged the crowd to pay attention to their own reactions to situations and if something makes you feel guilty then that’s something you need to evaluate and work on. I mean, overall, I think while Ronnie didn’t necessarily handle it perfectly, he did handle it well.

Don’t worry, his dads biker gang can’t hurt you 😂
He was just scared he’d get backlash, not guilty
@Clark Kent you think ronnie cares about backlash? His whole life is backlash. He could give 2 shits about backlash, hes worried about his own existence, not other peoples opinions on him when tbey dont know him. You are the type of person he is talking about here.

Finn you touched on something that hits home with me lately. Clicking on negative stuff is impacting everyone’s mental health. I have been holding back on clicking on headlines with negative connotations and I feel the best I have mentally in a long time. I can’t recommend avoiding negative media enough.
That is so very true and it worries me every day …
Ignore all of it all together. Finn dropped the best advise I’ve heard in years, ignore all social media all together, ignore all the headlines, turn the news off, and simply trust that if it’s important, you’ll find out anyway. The rest is just noise.
Means you'll be reading barely any news at all, which is a sad thing to have to say.
I just deleted all my social media accounts and guess what, I feel free from a lot of weird… pressure? I don’t know how to explain it, but that shit it’s not healthy.
You would have to literally stop paying attention to the world.
Don't forget, when a stalker showed up at his residence looking for Paige (Saraya), Ronnie kicked the shit out of him and held him until the cops came.
I was thinking about this the entire video. Ronnie can obviously hold his own in a fight, so why do dumbasses like the dude in the shirt think they can talk shit and stand up to people that would literally kick their ass? No amount of attention is worth it.
@@blacksunshine9995 because their hatred blinds them
@@blacksunshine9995 Because if you really look at it, someone hitting you for having one opinion they don't like only reflects badly on the person committing violence. "I'm going to hit you until you think differently" sounds kind of fucked up and morbid when you call it what it is. Also, to be a grown ass adult and expecting "respect" from everyone just because you get paid to sing is a quite childish. People are individuals. Just because the dudes with the shirts are the comparably worse party, that doesn't mean that the one calling it out is much better for thinking they HAVE to do something just because they're insecure about their masculinity.
@@JUNKO____ Stop trying to put shame on someone for calling out a clearly mentally unstable person. It starts with them making tweets and comments against you, then it escalates to them paying to see you and show you their homemade 'fuck you'shirt, next they are at your home trying to kill you. Stop trying to spin this back around on Ronnie just because you clearly dont like him. The dude that made the shirt is unstable and I think you are as well for ignoring what he's doing and responding only to what Ronnie said in his defense.
@@JUNKO____ If you were faced with someone that did everything in their power to get close to you, and not knowing what they are capable of towards you or your daughter, you would act in the same way. You would put up that front of masculinity and aggression to get them to back down. He did the right thing by calling out a sick and twisted individual for his actions. And to say it's childish is blatantly stupid of you. What's childish is what the dude in the self made shirt did. What's borderline stalking is what he did. And with the fact that Ronnie has dealt with stalkers breaking into his home before, he is well within his right to act this way towards him. Show those delusional dumbasses that you aren't the one to fuck with and they will leave you alone. As for the respect issue, maybe Ronnie shouldn't expect everyone to respect him, but he should expect these same assholes to do their research and not falsely accuse him of crimes he did not commit. As Ronnie said in the full video, he is being misled about what the truth about him really is.
I witnessed this with my own eyes. He handled it with more control than I expected honestly.
He still bought a ticket... so Ronnie wins.
Exactly what I was thinking. Paid, showed up, got his 5 minutes of fame. Ronnie cashed his check.

I was thinking the same thing
“Wins” 😂 There’s more reasons to have an argument than trying to feel superior
I always have to remind myself of this, "hating someone is simply allowing them to live rent free in your head" There have been studies that show people who go their whole lives being hateful and angry all the time end up living shorter lives because they're literally killing themselves with their hatred.
Heckler: You took everything from me
Ronnie: I don't even know who you are
Nice batman beyond reference 👍
Damn near 20 years ago I saw Ministry at a super small venue. Guy in front of us was heckling the band for whatever reason, kept yelling “you fucking suck!” Al the singer - who is a rather small man, only like 5’3” - hopped off the stage and punched the guy in the face. Then hopped back up and resumed the song like nothing happened. To my 17 year old self, it was a glorious moment.
This may come off as odd, but for the last 7 years ive been an asshole addict and taking no responsibility, but watching your videos always makes me question who i am and who i want to be, ive been legally clean since January but still have prescription meds, psychologist and an alcohol problem, but you've been such a positive influence
One day at a time! Happy to hear you are doing better 💪🏼
I was there for this, he handled it a lot better than he would’ve in the past.
I was at this show and was cheering Ronnie on the whole time! I don't understand why someone would literally wait what I assume to be hours to get a good spot to heckle someone and then gets mad when they get heckled back. Like what a waste of your time....I think Ronnie answered him fine and even apologized later on in the set for letting his anger getting the best of him. I remember looking at my friend afterwards and being like "what else do people want from Ronnie? Like he's doing everything he can"
I also don’t know what the heckler’s goal was. Not too mention he spent time making the shirt, paying for tickets. And going all the way to the front to what, get a rise out of Ronnie?

Thank god there’s someone with a platform AND common sense AND enough of an ability to articulate it effectively… Thank you so much for this video. You are spot on about this being near the bull’s eye of so many of our cultural issues.
He was right to shut the guy down, at the same time he’s giving that guy the attention he wanted by wearing the shirt. I think its weird, and sad, that some people have some sick fascination with upsetting other people and go so far out of their way to do it
Here's the thing though. Do you know he was actually trying to upset him? Do you know that he even cares that Ronnie saw the shirt or not? Maybe he wore it because he likes the double takes and weird looks. Maybe it's a talking point and wants people to address it. Maybe he just feels good wearing it. There are tons of weird reasons why people do admittedly weird shit. If that weird shit doesn't include physically assaulting someone or actively disrupting the event in a way that other people can't enjoy it or it NEEDS to be stopped is different. Just wearing a shirt should be a non issue.
Ronnie is just a snowflake who wants to cancel anyine he doesnt like
@@blitzX5 nah I was at the festival he literally talked trash about Ronnie all day when fans asked about his shirt lol so when I saw him up front which he had to wait through the previous band for so he intentionally waited to be up front of this set. Lol
I feel like this is exactly why so little is happening in the way of US politics, it's just a bunch of fools yelling at a bunch of other fools about how wrong they are, instead of actually looking for a solution to the problem.
Finn literally said that in the video lol
I’ve learned so much just by listening to what you have to say in such a rational as possible but also opinionated way (as it should it be), it really helps me to be more open minded/more involved in factual or in general conversations. Keep it up, you’re one of my favorite creators!
I was side stage at this concert, you could see the emotion on his face and his apology was soo genuine.

I would tend to agree with you Finn. I definitely believe people got too comfortable on Twitter being able to say what ever they want without getting popped on the mouth. I just hesitate because we know some people take punishing assholes to an extreme where they in turn become the assholes. But the dude in the crowd definitely deserved to be called out, and I really dont hold these kinds of call outs by musicians against them because they are people, and deserve to be treated better.
Nah fuck that, words and actions have consequences. Don't wanna be called out or beaten up? Think twice before being an asshole it's that simple.
@@FuneraryDirge I think he might be saying that the punishment should fit the crime, not escalate. The guy was not being physically violent, so had Ronnie turned violent that would have been escalating. He didn't though. The guy was being verbally abusive, so he got it right back at him. The punishment fit the crime. Now, if he had gotten beat, would he have deserved it? Yes. Does it make it the best choice? No.

Wish the video including later in the show where Ronnie apologized and said something along the lines of "you know you have to work on it when you feel bad about saying it afterwards"
"the weaker male walks away, defeated" should go on your next t-shirt. Thanks for making this video and taking such a strong stance in favor of empathy and civility, I totally agree that people need to dial the asshole vibe way back with their online interactions if we actually want to get anywhere with fixing shit.
Thanks for the props in the vid, Finn! Love your content! From one PNW guy to another.
This is a much needed video. Thanks.
I remember at either the 09 or 10 Charlotte Warped Tour someone said something to him during their set and he jumped down into the crowd to go after the guy. They didn't end up getting close to each other, but it's a vivid memory I have of that day.
This reminds me of a time I was watching a Gym Class Heroes set at Warped tour a couple years ago, they're not really my thing but I was there with friends and it was a good time. There were a group of 20 something festival bro looking dudes and we could hear them heckling the band between their first few songs. After a while they were finally confronted by a bigger dude loudly saying like "Why are you wasting your time at this stage if you're not enjoying this? You're literally surrounded by people fans singing their songs, get the fuck out of here. Go back to Coachella." They shut up real quick and left lol. I really don't understand why people think its okay to be a negative asshole just because they don't like something. Especially in cases like this where the artist can clearly see/hear you. I totally agree they deserve to get called out.
Great content dude. This was great 👍
Great video, some very well said things that we're unfortunately facing right now
Finn, I gotta say that I really enjoy your takes on social perspectives and human interaction just as much as your music content.
It is not like a pro wrestling show where the stars are expecting to get this kind of reaction or see these things. It is his band's concert, and unless they are putting on a bad show, what are you doing there being negative? I know one of the reasons I love going to shows is to be surrounded by positivity and a sort of fellowship around music.
Social media now is pro wrestling, everyone's working people and you ain't successful if you ain't a good Babyface or heel
Glad I watched this. I've never followed Ronnie or was ever very impressed with him as a person, but per usual, you pulled bigger/greater life lessons from this instance that can apply to other things (thanks). To be honest the past couple years have led me to a pretty lonely place (thank God I have my wife, family, and a couple really solid people who I can count on) as far as what I think I can talk about, because I have so many people around me on VERY different ends of the spectrum who are so obsessed with their "team" and the principles that go along with them. It makes it really difficult to have honest conversations with most people about anything real, and I've felt myself getting more and more "surface level" with my friends when I really crave those real conversations. I'm so afraid afraid to voice certain opinions because I don't want those people to assume things or assume I'm on any of these "teams." It's pretty isolating and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Even the people I was really close with a couple years ago I've realized I've pulled away from because of how I've watched them "cancel" other people. Even if they haven't done anything directly towards me (to my face anyway), watching how they treated those people 100% determines how I assume they would do the same towards me.
Also, side note to expand some on what I said above, I don't always agree with your perspective but you challenge me to think differently about things I hadn't considered. I've respect you so much for the way you conduct yourself when other people challenge or think differently than you, and that's what I wish we all could be better at. I know you've mentioned before the hate you get and I seriously can't wrap my head around where that's coming from, but like you say about certain bands time and time again, you must be doing something right to get that kind of feedback. Keep it up, brother.
Great points!! Loved this!!
Dude, I'm a therapist, and this may sound weird... If someone goes out of their way to troll this hard, they lack some amount of empathy. Shame does work, if a person doesn't care about others they definitely do care about themselves and embarrassment. Better than beating him up imo

But forget loving celebs.
Ronnie seemed to be justified here, but ive seen Ronnie play twice in the past and at both shows, he stopped in the middle of a song because he found one person in a crowd of thousands who wasnt enjoying themselves and he would go on these crazy rants about how hard he could beat their ass and all this tough guy crap. I honestly think Ronnie gets a huge rise out of doing this thing right here. If I was him, id expect a couple haters to show up to my shows because when youre at the top, that comes with an army of petty haters. But I would also think I owed it to everybody else in the crowd not to let these rare hecklers dictate the show experience for everyone else. I would probably show my ass too, but its just cringey in hindsight lol. All the prison talk is kinda cringe too lmao. Ronnie gives me the vibe that he needs to be liked by everyone and if he finds that one guy who doesnt, best case scenario he yells at you on his mic, worst case scenario he might throw a mic stand at ya lmao.
He likes going off on imaginary triggered people also. I think he’s just got these boogeymen (haters, sjws) in his head all the time
He’s pretty open about knowing it’s not the best way to react in these kinds of situations but that disrespect is super triggering for him and he works on it in therapy. Not to mention after playing the next song he came back and apologized and said it wasn’t the right way to handle it the situation. I felt this comment. I'm 42. Could you even imagine doing this shit at this age? This is dumb high school shit. I just can't imagine at this point, after life has put most people through the ringer (maybe not everyone's experience but it certainly is mine), that you would then go and pull this shit. Why? How can you possibly not have bigger fish to fry?
@@matthewlister3755 I think you hit the nail on the head. This guy hasn't been through the ringer and he probably doesn't have bigger fish to fry. I guarantee this dude doesn't have a family and probably spends most his time arguing with people on the internet.
Ronnie is a Badass ! I mean his Music def gotta separate the artist from art these days, n Im on Ronnie's side on this one.. thanks for another awesome video Finn. One Love my brother ♥️✌️💜☯️🖤💯💯💯♠️
You hit the nail on the head, it's so frustrating that people can't have opposing views without it becoming a fight. We learn more from talking to people we disagree with than we ever will sitting in an echo chamber
You’re spot on with your comment about this very thing deterring people from wanting to be creators. When I was younger I was going really hard on my UA-cam channel and getting a lot of views relatively but when I decided that I wanted to open my channel up to some more content I got a ton of hate. It was so demoralizing that I basically fell off and quit making content for years when I was on a steady path to actually being successful in hindsight.
Completely agree with your points in this vid, it’s about time someone stood up to how toxic people can be. Why should we tolerate a culture that’s become obsessed with cancelling people, putting others down, and generally being an asshole without consequence.
This is all WAYYYYYY wrong. The shirt actually had an "I'd" at the beginning that no one could see.
Damn, we got it all wrong!!
Lol I’d be inclined to agree with you because the heckler is probably an incel anyways 😂
Thank you for teaching me more about being a tolerant and respectful person
Great video Finn! I went through a phase when I was younger of saying all kinds of stuff trying to be edgy or shocking. I never got punched for it but I wish I had, as I lost friends and ended up with some amazing people thinking I was a dick (which is so much worse).
I think we all just need to get better at being okay with thinking that someone/something absolutely sucks and just moving on rather than trying to bring down others and put more negativity into the world. The way some people carry on you'd think that Ronnie Radke existing is a grave personal insult to them. It's ridiculous.
when you don't have enough songs to fill an hour 1/2-long set lol
Don't they have a few albumsunder their belt
@@whereta3097 Lol probably I was just taking the piss, it is hard to fill longer sets though .
Ronnie has 5 albums and a bunch of singles
Sad that ronnie cant drop the guy cuz he would get sued to hell if he did meanwhile these idiots disrespects him this much in person like nah some shit needs to get sorted.
Yeah very sad and true...
Excellent points, and very well spoken. People need to learn that respect is earned..not given.
I love you content dude.
I'm sure I disagree with Finn on a large number of things (Faith No More and back pack rap to name a few), but I do appreciate that he always seems to try to understand all sides. There are too many people in this world that think that anyone that disagrees with them is an idiot.
Being able to genuinely overlook a subject you disagree with someone about in a conversation is so rare that when it happens i find myself thanking the other person for disagreeing. Like, fuck isnt this nice that we can disagree about something and still have a great conversation about other shit?!
Holy shit dude this is something that has really bugged me lately. We have normalized “if u don’t agree with me I’m blocking u” and it’s no longer just an Internet occurrence. I have plenty of friends with different opinions on everything from music to politics. I’d honestly much rather have a friend have different opinions on me so I can have a more open mind on things, if u surround urself with like minded people it’s an easy way to become close minded and it’s honestly scary that people don’t realize this
@@Junkiescum couldnt agree more, thats what trips me out about whats going on right now. Everybody is talking about being woke but its not true, this idea that youll look “cool” and “deep” by saying you care about all these things but the minute anybody has a question or a counter argument about your issue you immediately shut them down and ridicule them is so lame and disgusting. Its as if people dont even realize how ironic and hypocritical they are being. The internet has caused alot of people to feel like they deserve something because they watched a video on youtube.. i dont know man, the sense of entitlement is unreal. I was raised on the belief that everyone has a different opinion and if you disagree with someone, disagree with them and move on.. i was born in 1995 dude
My dad died running his mouth. Mind you, my mother, Angrboda was a giantess with a wicked uppercut.
Mad respect Finn you are so right on
I think he played it up way to much.
I would have laughed and told him thanks for spending the $70 🤡
The guy with the shirt is just simply an attention seeker. They will always exist. Sadly. At the same time by calling them out it just gives them the attention they seek. Just ignore them.
Ignoring assholes isn’t the solution either imo - that just lets them keep acting that way without consequence
@@FinnMckentyPRMBA I can see that as they need repercussions, but I don't think it's necessary for some sort of physical or verbal altercation as a result. It is a tough call if that person is becoming physical themselves and/or being audibly obnoxious. I don't think it's a one size fits all solution and I don't think that you would disagree. It's just a tough call all around.
Can't ignore them. Gotta publicly humiliate them
@@FinnMckentyPRMBA if you don’t give them the attention they seek, why would they continue to exhibit attention seeking behavior?
Love your takes.
Finn, you’re an awesome guy. Everything you said was spot on, keep doing you.
Thank you!
There’s an old saying: never talk bad about a man if he isn’t there to defend himself.
And that speaks a ton to the false bravdo of people today, especially on the internet. I have always said that 99% of the trash people say on the internet wouldn't dare do it face to face.
Never been happier to see live music back so we can enjoy these mild and predictable banalities.
Someone typed in the chat “Ronnie made his night”
Let him has his 15 seconds. People need to get their shit pushed in when theyre disrespectful
