Awhile ago, I made a Mahogany jewelry box for my mom for Mother's Day. Oh, it sat on a dusty shelf. Now I realize I need the boxes for the inside so I thought to use this project to show how the Bridge City Jointmaker Pro works, the multitude of uses for the HP6v2 multi-plane, and to brush up on my hand-tool skills.
Best demo of the tool I could find. Thanks a lot 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video. Not a lot of reviews for the JMPv2. I could see that this would be of interest to apartment dwellers who don't have room for power tools. Not to mention the neighbors would complain.
Seems like this could have been done with a bandsaw with fence or a table saw. Do you see anything this tool can do that can't easily be replicated with traditional saws, either handheld or power?
By the way, I am not nocking the tool, just interested in what this large investment provides in terms of functions. Thanks!
Paul, it has been a long time, I just happened to be looking jigs, your last video was I was looking Dominos From Festool 700.
is it possible to shar the design for the stand you cam up with for the Jointmaker?
Great video, you have a firs aid kit that look compatible with the festool systainer, am I right..? who does it..? Where did you get it..?
Thank you
That was a limited-time Festool first aid kit. If you google around, you'll see that a lot of people buy a red Tanos Systainer and make their own that looks pretty cool; for me, it fits well in my "sysport" bench (where it has been for awhile; at the time of this video, I had it in an awkward place).
On FOG, a guy was making a custom first aid kit for members... it is still in progress at this time, but I think orders are closed. But you might want to look at what he put in the kit because it was pretty well thought out:

looks great...!!! And it seems compatible with Festool...
Thank you very much...!!!
Rather expensive for the hobbyist...
Unbelievable, people are still using Chinese made crap.
bridge city is not crap, he retired and sold it to Harvey ind. in china where he is watching close quarters with them, it is the same tools same quality and control, and china can make really good tools there are very amazing master craftsman and makers in china, they are still very high end tools
I bet you used a Chinese made device to watch this video.
