I really don't know how Las Vegas is, so I can't say anything in particular about it. I had missed you by the way, Daniel. I hope you're doing well.
If you come again to Montevideo Uruguay, please, invited me to say in your channel, I speak three language, a litlle spanish, portuguesse and learning english...

"Barely one", my favorite answer lol
no wonder why he's from ohio💀
Idk why but these videos always appeal to me! It's always cool to get a glimpse of people's cultures and backgrounds through the languages they speak
As a blind, I am really surprised that he said braille. Hope he will master it one day.
Did you learn when you were young? Is it hard to learn braille?
I started to learn when I was three. According to me, it’s super easy. But it may be hard for people who can see. It’s hard to train the fingers to feel those small dots.
@@TheNewTravelplay Pokémon ruby sapphire and emerald. You will learn braille late game
“Barely one”. At least he is honest
Always good to see someone as gentle as you are with person who doesn't speak English fluently.
It's such a simple concept, but still very interesting to see these different places and hear what the people have to say. 🐢
I noticed in this video, a lot of people who say they speak a second language, really don't and/or seem to just have started learning it. Ex: The Korean couple definitely didn't speak English as they used a translator on their phones to your very simple question. On another one, the guy at 8:10 looks like Luis from Ant-Man LOL.
Love your videos! Did you ever think about making a documentary?Your style is unique and down to earth and very.. real. Your videos are portraits of these cities and the people in it, I feel you capture the essence.
Thank you Moumin, I appreciate that. I would consider some of the longer videos on this channel to be like a documentary. You could check out the 4 part series I did in Ukraine last year. Or the 40 minute guide to Medellin, Colombia. I'd like to do more long projects, but there has to be enough interest by viewers to make it worth the time. If you have documentary ideas, let me know ;)
"Divertido", means "Funny" in English, "Divertente" in Italian and ''Amusant'' in French.
"Paisaje" means "Landscape", too.
In Portuguese it is also "divertido" and landscape/scenery is "paisagem", very similar to Spanish.
In most of my contacts with Spanish speakers when they say "divertido", they usually mean "fun" or "enjoyable". Sometimes it can also mean "funny" but the word choice is often "gracioso" or "cómico".
@@gordonchong3580 Yes but "Enjoyable" means "Pleasant" in Spanish.
Bonjour leş amis 💜
As an Arab I speak Arabic and English so I'm learning French, Turkish and Italian, I hope to speak them fluently in the future 💜💜
Excellent! Thank you ❤
I speak Portuguese as my native language (I'm from Brazil) English, Spanish and Italian, and I'm learning French, I love learning languages 💖
@@thiagosodre14072023, tem ferramenta de sobra pra aprender inglês sozinho e sem gastar nada
Me too, I speak Spanish because I was born in Mexico and French, English, Portuguese and I'm learning Italian. I went to France fours years ago and I loved Paris, my French is so good and I got C1 level.
Aw Dan, it's so sweet that you're learning Spanish! I'm sure it's helping with your travels :)
claro que siiii
Ver estos videos mientras como me relaja un montón, gracias por tu trabajo mi rey, saludos desde España
Ilocano is actually not a dialect, but a separate language. For some reason the Filipinos refer to other languages in the Philippines as dialects.
Example: Tagalog and Bisaya have a bigger difference between them, than Spanish and French. Still Filipinos will say Bisaya is a dialect, when it is actually a different language altogether. Just in the same Austronesian family.
Yeah I've noticed the same thing
Same in china
I’m pretty sure Italians do this too
People in latin America also do this often, e.g. Mayan languages in Mexico and Guatemala.
UA-cam stopped notifying me of your videos! I literally just though of this channel and wanted to see some language videos! 🐢
Love your videos 🐢❤️
🐢 it was recommended on my home page. Hope you enjoyed Vegas!
Thanks! Another video from Vegas will be coming soon :)
2:50 everyone knew what was coming 😆
bro knew not to even ask her to say anything in Japanese 💀
great video, Dan. wanna visit las vegas now =)
Just ran across this series a few minutes ago. London was the first video I saw. I speak English and am learning Russian. Will continue watching the series. At 63 I'm more interested than ever in learning new languages.
Thanks David, I've got a lot of videos... hope you enjoy!
apropos the commentary of the First Lady: 'paisaje' means landscape.
Am I the only one who laughed out loud when the Korean couple pulled out the camera when they were lost in conversation?😂
As i'm a Korean, they crack me up. so cute. lol
@@katieppp😂😂😂😂😂 nooooo, why ???))) they were really funny 😆
I’m interested by people who aren’t care to say : I speak English and in real life barely can keep the conversation going. I have B2 and shy to say I speak English. Maybe it’s more about self confidence)))
@@aidataridez3632Same here B1 and can't even start a conversation
Great video as always! It is so different there than here for example in Hungary. Hope you visit us in Budapest one day!
Many Hungarians also speak German right?
@@thibomeurkens2296 that’s right, but the youth mostly choose English as their secondary language
@@KincsoToth oh cool! English is probably more useful than German so I’d understand. És a magyar nyelv is nagyon szép :)
I speak Arabic, English and French, and now I am learning Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. As for (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Hindi, Swedish, Indonesian, Malaysian, Russian, Hebrew, and Turkish), I know some sentences and words from each language, and this is because of the curiosity that drives me to learn these languages in the coming years, God willing. As for the Maltese language, I think it is somewhat similar to the Arabic language.
Quite impressive, that's a lot of languages right there. Me personally I only master 3. I grew up speaking French in highschool which is my second language. It's a very beautiful one. Apprendre une langue est une chose assez difficile, cela demande beaucoup de patience, du temps, et de dedication. Pour le moment le temps ne m'a pas été accordé mais je suis joyeux de te voir bien déterminé à les apprendre toutes. Props to you buddy I'm proud of you🙌🏾

The New Travel was the reason why I wanted to speak more languages lol. I speak English, Spanish, and Russian now lol
Wow how did you learn them??
I learned Spanish in high school and undergrad, and self-taught myself Russian via Duolingo and some other online resources
@@Michael-pp8lz oh wow! How long did it take you to learn? I wanna learn Russian but it seems really hard haha
@@thibomeurkens2296 Started about 3 months ago. I can hold a basic conversation, but the grammar is a bit tricky. Start by learning the Russian alphabet, that´ll make things a lot easier. I can read Russian literature, but I don´t always know what it means lol.
İ speak 15, with varying degrees of proficiency, & your channel is both interesting & inspirational.
I admire the bravery of stopping people on the street with a camera.
If you don't speak different languages you wouldn't understand the one from the Philippines 8:58 having is mind going blank for a couple of seconds when the question were asked. It's quite difficult to switch from a language to another one especially when your brain weren't ready for it. It demands a little bit of seconds to actually process. As someone who speaks 3 languages, I definitely understand the sensation.
Good
I speak Arabic , French , German , English fluenlty .... maybe in the future i will try to learn spanish if will move to the US
I speak portuguese as my native language, I'm from Brazil, english almost fluently I think 😅 and I've been studying spanish and Italian for a short amount of time, english I've been studying for four years.
I study all of these languages by myself, I really enjoy learning other languages.
I'm still not sure of when it is ok to say you 'speak' a language. The lady at 7 min for example, she seemed to struggle with a simple question in English.
Pakistan is very beautiful & cheap country for tourists & tourism with loving people, delicious foods, natural beauty, Love, respect & peace 🇵🇰
Make it to the endddd
Boa noite
Hello I'm from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
You are cool man, respect 🐢🐢
05:22 Barely one 😂😂
I GO LEARN IS LANGUAGE ENGLISH.THANKS
Can you tell us (in the community) the city that you are gonna visit, maybe we can see each other
It's truly amazing to know how many different languages some people can speak anywhere in the world. I barely speak English and Spanish as my primary languages, I also speak German but just a little bit because my knowledge of the language is really limited. I think English is the world's greatest and easiest language to pick up due to its enormous influence across the globe as the world's lingua franca for international communication and interaction between different countries, cultures and so on. There are still huge barriers for interested language learners to overcome and seem to be kinda unbreakable in my opinion, especially for completely different languages like Chinese, Korean and Japanese. It largely depends on one's perspective as well.
Concordo com você, camarada 😊🇧🇷
People there feels weird, it's like they're trying to get away with something, concealing a crime and whatnot
6:40 he looks like Jackie chan
Im turkish, I speak english turkish russian german romanian
“Vengo de un lugar donde se habla español: Nueva York”.’ 🎉😊
🐢cool video
i speak arabic and english
@2:40 before she even spoke i was like "she gonna say English and a little bit of japanese"
I saw on the video how Is the life in Las Vegas, myself I speak 4 languages fluently
For some people, "I know a little language" is knowing a couple of words
LAS VEGAS is great! My family love it. NOT for gambleing. eating, shopping, hiking, everything fun but NO gambling. You can have a lot.of fun in Vegas.
It is fascinating how the majority of bilingual/polyglots are folks non-native to the USA.
Be well and stay safe
What does “non-native” mean? The U.S. is a country of immigration. 99.9% of the people are “non-native”
Hope this helps.
I agree with the guy... English, Chinese and Spanish are the most spoken languages in the world.
After that I guess French or Arabic
I only speak spanish, so I like sharing my abilitties to learn chinesse... niiiii jaaaaaooo... 😅
@@TheNewTravel you might be right, but English, Chinese and Spanish are like those ones that you can use wherever you are in and you will probably find someone who eventually speaks one of those; I don't know... just saying
@@educerenews 😂😂learning Chinese?
@@aparicioarguinarena4483Spanish is very marginal outside of the American continent. Chinese is only spoken by Chinese people.
How many languages do you speak dan? Ich spreche 6, português, espanol, français, italiano, english und deutsch, Im portuguese...

That would be cool to see language exchange in the comments :)
three. money, money money! 🤑
Respect to the guy who said braille
How is your Spanish level?Do you know only basic words? I ask because of the last word the woman said you were unable to understand🤔😅. Last word of course meant “fun” or “its fun”.
My spanish is super basic, just barely good enough to do interviews like that haha. It improves when I spend a few weeks or more in a spanish speaking culture though
@@TheNewTravel Nice 💯. Yeah you should try it bro, you know be another polyglot (trilingual) like Xiaoman (dude that speaks many languages including Chinese) , Wouter (dutch guy) etc. 👍

Divertido = Divertissement = Entertainment???
Me I Speak 2 Arabic and English
What about you guys? 👇
🐢
Alas, this one video reveals how far we’ve fallen behind…
🐢🐢
Why the majority of native american people speak only one language?
I think that's because they don't need to learn other languages thanks to the fact that English is the world's lingua franca and many English speakers have thought that anyone from around the world should be speaking English at least to some extent. I don't want to think that they are kinda lazy to learn other languages.
Why the majority of french people speak only one language?
