    My notion of productivity has drastically changed over time; before, I had a tendency of looking at productivity as a very narrow scope of work that brought you closer to a certain milestone, forcing you to ignore everything else around you; in a way, I saw productivity in an industrial or business-like sense - the rate of output per unit of input.
    My understanding of productivity is now different; being productive is doing what is valuable to you or others important to you, without losing the sense of the whole.

    2. Be more connected by being less connected
    3. Consume less and more mindfully

    In my life, productivity has a time and a place. It’s 8-16, at my desk, and its sole purpose is to ensure I get my work done in 8 hours a day and not a minute more. The rest is play.

    I love slow living, it’s something we’ve forgotten about with productivity and the fast paced world we live in, but ever since I’ve tried to slow down more, I’ve felt way more grounded and balanced and at peace. Loved this video so much

      Exactly. I feel the same. We have forget the ordinary things in our lives. We don't have time for ordinary and simple things anymore. Everyone is just rushing through things.

    As a society, we need to view the "slow life" as being productive. It keeps out mental health and bodies healthier, therefore, contributing to our overall brain function and creativity. This is a large asset to both our home lives and career.

    Can you make something on how to get out of a “ easy “ loop. Like how do you speed yourself up when you actually need too?

    • @TristinaKardashian
      @TristinaKardashian 3 роки тому +1

      Elaboration lol - I get into a “ ugh why “ phase for things I know I need to actually do because I’m trying to slow down. But it’s like I’m either off or on. 🥴

    I loved this video, Mariana... I've been thinking a lot about the way I want to be productive and the way I want not to. For me it is important to take what is valuable for you and make the most out of it.

    The intro was beautiful! 😍 I have become more and more interested in this way of living as I've gotten older. We recently got a herb garden and it's so relaxing going to pick fresh herbs for breakfast or supper (that bread thing you made looked delicious btw). My goals in life have now become more centered around this concept. Love the video as usual 🌸💖

    I absolutely love this video! I came across it today and have already watched it twice. I am a senior in college who is about to graduate and I've realized over the past year that what I truly need is the ability to slow down and actually enjoy life -- not just work toward arbitrary goals that won't give me much satisfaction but rather lead me right to the next goal to tackle. I would love more videos like this -- maybe one on how to allow yourself to relax and live more slowly after graduation? It's so hard to break the habit of feeling like I should be productive 24/7! Thank you again for this video, and the rest of your channel. I've been a subscriber for years and your content is some of my favorite on youtube.

    This is my favourite video you've ever made. I listen to this regularly to remind myself to slow down and live in the present. I am constantly thinking about how I need to get more degrees, more accomplishments, and more money, but fail to realize I can be happy now. Thank you for producing this, and I hope you continue to make videos about productivity but with mental health and intention in mind.

    So, I figured out that my ideal life would be slow living. And I don’t know if it counts as one, but during quarantine, I’ve started to idealize being able to sleep early at night and wake up at the time I feel the best (between 6 and 8 am) rather than the hectic night owl life. Don’t get me wrong, I love staying up late too but I love sleep more and it feels great to not be tired and sleepy all day. Now, I just need to take this life with me when my college starts.

    Thank you, Mariana🙏🏼 This was exactly what I needed to know at this very moment in my life as Ive been on the path to simplicity for the last year but you so beautifully framed it for me to focus even more intentionally. You have a great superpower. Thank you for sharing 💕 Would love to help you in return. I see your superpower desperately needed in Corporations with burnt out employees I encounter on all my Technology consulting projects. Its heart breaking to watch them and I always wish I could do more than just be a shoulder for them to cry on. Slow life is indeed what they so badly need but they dont know how. Would love to collaborate with you.
