    Buy the bike that inspires you to ride. Every time I see my Aeroad I want to ride it. The 48/10 is a surprisingly big gear, slightly bigger than 52/11

    I bought a Canyon Ultimate, CF SL this year, disc and Di2, I’ve put Hunt wheels on it and, it’s an awesome bike. Love it.

      Nice, sounds good. I’m really thinking the Ultimate will be the best training bike, to be in a similar position to the Aeroad which I’ll race crits on. I just need a non-integrated cockpit so I can fit clip ons.

    Another thing to note depending on how much you want to tweak the Ultimate and Aeroad now come with integrated cockpits, which is great it's aero and looks sleek but it's restrictive when it comes to fitting.
    I have the Endurace and it's nice to be able to just change the stem to play with different lengths, especially now since OD2 options are becoming a bit more accesible.
    What are you riding currently? I assume you already have a bike that fits well, would make sense to see if the geometry of the comfy bike matches either geometries.

      I echo your thoughts, the integrated cockpit looks great but that’s about it. I need clip on bars on it really.
      I’m riding a 2016 Endurace on the road but I’ve been dabbling with my 2023 Grizl with road wheels / tyres on, which is making me lean towards a disc brake roadie now. Feels criminal to consider buying an Ultimate and swapping the bars & stem for a non-integrated option but that’s the only way I could make it work.
      The new Endurace has mega tyre clearance as well doesn’t it? I’d love 28’s, think my current rim brake Endurace would struggle at that

      @@TriathlonDan yeah i guess with the Grizl you're half way between Endurace and Aeroad in terms of stack and reach. At this point you just have to get it to complete the Canyon set 😄
      I see no issue swapping out the cockpit on the Ultimate, could upgrade to a Extralite HyperStem and a Bjorn Rool for a spicy 183g (76 + 107 respectively) vs the Canyon H36 at a chunky 400g
      My Endurace is from 2021 I think it's pretty much the same as current one but I haven't checked but yes huge tyre clearance. I'm running 32mm road tyres (from memory max is 35mm), cobblestone got nothing on me.

    I think if you want to be racy, and get a bit of help on the hills, then the Ultimate is the one to go for. The Endurace is great for long rides and the Aeroad would be the one for all-out speed on the flat & downhills. I'd go for the Aeroad, but I don't like the adjustable handlebars. Good luck with the choice.

      That’s how it’s marketed.
      Keep in mind the geometry on the Aeroad and Ultimate is the same.
      And while the Endurace is a more relaxed geometry the bike that fits is great for long rides.

      I didn't know the geo of the Ultimate & Aeroad was the same! I need to get it on a comparison chart, but that sounds like the Ultimate really appeals to me! Cheers!

      The Endurace is also one of the most racy endurance bikes and the geometry is not very far off the Ultimate.

    I'd be wary of a fixed stem, I seem to have a 'short' upper body, for my height. The Aeroad looks sweet though!

      Yes I’ve changed my bars / stem a couple of times on my Endurace, I wouldn’t if it was an expensive integrated setup! Does look a nice bike. I’m leaning towards an ultimate I think

    too bad first 2 bikes have those cockpit like them
    Aeroad needs to be the first blue color

      Yes 100%! I'd also prefer the Aeroad with Shimano I think. It's "Webuycycle" :)

      actually canyon’s sizing for M is equivalent to 56, the 48 may be the length of the seat tube

    Canyon is absolute garbage if you live in Canada. Otherwise they are fantastic

      @@TriathlonDan yeah in the US it’s fantastic as well. Unfortunately if you need any parts it will cost you 60$ shipping plus import taxes. Given most of its components are proprietary hard to find substitute products. There’s also a huge stigma when you bring in a canyon to a local bike shop… Maybe one day they will expand in the Canadian market. Until then not really worth the hassle
