Have you tried playing while holding the sticks from the opposite ends? My 16 yr old daughter plays alot of Nick Menza stuff from the time when he was in Megadeth and whenever she plays those Megadeth songs, she holds the opposite ends of the sticks just like Nick Menza holds them. She says it allows her to sound more powerful, with deeper tones and the cymbals initially ring louder. She plays in a band with her two brothers. Each of her brothers have Crate half stacks and with both amps going she doesn't have to mic her drums (unless they are gigging outdoors). Awesome cover!!!

My favorite part about this is that you actually hit the damn things! So many Timmy Tappers out there, it's refreshing to see anyone put in the oomph (not the band...) that was the basis of Nick's playing.

I saw Megadeth at Irving Plaza in NYC about a month after September 11th. They still had streets blocked off while they were sorting through the wreckage at Ground Zero. I went there hoping I would get to hear them play at least 2 or 3 of my old favorites, and they played every single tune I was hoping for (Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, In My Darkest Hour, Lucretia, etc). And this song. It resonated with the crowd even more than usual because of the heaviness of the mood in the city at the time.
Anyhow; great job, and keep posting.

Ella tiene talento y es muy bonita
Para mi el talento justito, osea para tocar vale, pero si te fijas se ahorra muchísimas notas, y el bombo a la vez que el charles.. Menos mal que suena la canción por encima. Bonita si que es, y si no lo fuera, para el video se pone. Pero prefiero ver al chico inmensamente gordo que toca versiones de Tool por ejemplo, osea que no voy a ver porque sea bonita, aunque obvio que ella prefiere intentar subir esas visitas poniéndose bonita. Todo para cobrar más de UA-cam, osea que lo entiendo. Espero que no se moleste si lee mi comentario, y que siga adelante con lo que quiera hacer.

Love this song, and your take on it. It always fascinates me how, when you hear a song, the drums can sound super complex, but when you watch it being played, it's not nearly as difficult as it sounds. Still, this song would definitely take practice to get it as tight as you're playing it here. Great stuff!

El bombo le pisas a la vez que el charles! Menos mal que la canción normal suena por encima..
La mitad de los hits del charles te los ahorras, no vayas a salir sudando o tocando como se debería, por no quedar despeinada.. Mejor para una sesión en acústico, con esos tacones, el taburete con adornos de princesa y unas baquetas de mimbre.
