I went with HT Autos flares for my STI and I had such a hard time doing this to my car too! I have pampered my car with high level detailing and careful maintenance routine but like you I really wanted a flared STI so after four years I finally got the guts to cut and drill my car. After the first few seconds it wasnt so bad but that first gauge of the cutting wheel was nerve racking. I sealed mine up good too. I love the meaty track stance:) Peace from Maui

Did you have to shape these flares at all? I bought them for my 2020 wrx and the radius does t match the cars fenders. I had to heat them and stretch them to fit.
