This is a huge problem throughout the Sierra -- and it happened in late 2021, too. The propane companies should be required to have trucks capable of making deliveries on roads with some snow on them or some alternative available for their customers. Their current advice is to "ask your neighbors, etc" if you can't clear your driveway, but there are so many older people in the Sierra that the able-bodied helpers are already overwhelmed. Why don't we have a state system to provide propane to people in situations like this? The National Guard? And to say that people should "always have a backup heating source" for their propane is absurd.
As soon as all vehicles, trucks, snowplows, and machines are all electric and not run on fossil fuels, this will be way more manageable. Also, banning any form of natural gas burning and wood burning will also help. As soon as everything is solar and wind powered then the power issues will be resolved too.
ha ha ...#WATTAMORON .. where do you think all that electricity used to charge those EVs come from ?? From your local electric utility company ... which uses fossil fuels to generate that electricity.
um ... solar only works when the sun is shining. Wind turbines need wind. #DUH There are thousands of by-products from petroleum, obviously you are a clueless tRUMPubliKKKlan
In cold weather, batteries on those electric vehicles do not charge very well. Battery efficiency is also shortened reducing range. Gas and diesel is a better alternative.

Too bad they didn't sell propane before the storm.
