Creality did send me this laser to review at no cost but did not insist on anything I say. The review is entirely my own opinion. We collaborated on the date of release which they wanted ASAP. They have been a joy to work with and the machine is very high quality and well made They even responded to all my remarks and sent my recommendations to their design team for future laser considerations. I love companies that clearly listen to their users feedback and feel we are definitely dealing with a company focused on good quality and customer experience.

Great review and this is very helpful to see what the different options are for laser engraving. I'm still just working on my knife sharpening business, but this seems like another additional service that would be fun to get into and offer. Thank you for continuing to make these great videos Paul!

Your welcome the lasers are super fun when I got my first one I figured that would be it. Now I have 3 of them and they are all really cool and what’s really awesome is they are much more affordable than a few years ago. When I first got interested adding them to the business. If you enjoy making things a laser is a pretty cool tool to have in your arsenal.

You can easily also just have a laser engraving business. It pairs well with knife sharpening but it can without a doubt be a business that stands on its own.

So now I've been looking pretty hard at lasers and would like to hear your thoughts on what laser you would recommend if you could only get one, especially now that you've had a chance to use 3 different ones. Use case would be the same as you, knife engraving mostly, with some wood and other random materials I would imagine. Thanks so much!

@jab0321 if I could only have one of the three I own my Xtool S1 40 Watt is my favorite, but it was also 2X the cost of my other two lasers my second pick would be my Laser Pecker 4 or knowing what I do now I’d probably get the Xtool F1 instead they are very similar in capabilities and for doing just knife engravings are very versatility. Xtool har better software IMO.. They are great compact size engravers and very mobile. If I was a mobile sharpener I would probably prefer those machines... Since I make far more stuff and love making custom cutting boards and have a shop in my house the Creality Falcon 2 has really been growing on me fast.. It’s a fantastic choice for someone what wants to do all kinds of projects and materials and may be on a budget or they can’t afford an S1. So far the Creality Falcon 2 has done everything that my S1 can do. It just takes a little longer but hast finer resolution. Just know that all lasers are super cool and fun and addictive. I never thought I would own three in less than two years but it’s pretty common to have multiple machines when someone get into laser engraving …I hope to have a CO2 and a Fiber. One day. The machine I really want to try is a “wecreate” Vision I like the auto focus and the full enclosed machine that changes height thats a really cool feature and I hear great things about their software and graphics I hope Wecreate Vision adds a 2watt IR module one day. So it can do metal
