Don’t forget the churches out there that have the huge concert style light shows with strobes and tons of fog, courtesy of fog machines, as well as ear splitting sound levels. They say its to attract the younger crowd, but would Jesus need lights and fog machines to draw a crowd? I think not, yet so many churches today are headed in that direction.

We are speaking to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY - LITERALLY - We're not doing ANYTHING for ourselves or for the congregation personally. We don't need to 'create a mood' or 'build the moment' - That's psychotic.
But we need not to distract the people as well...soft music during prayer does not necessarily need to be done to set the mood for anything. It is done so the prayer can be heard clearly and so that everyone can agree together as a body of Christ..This team needs to wake up and realize that the nerve they have to "prank" during worship is dangerous. Worship leaders, lead the people of God into that intimate time with Him, but the fact that he and his team thought and did otherwise is just downright scary.

He is the Rock of our salvation! He is the Almighty sovereign God! Using the Lord's name in vain is not excluded to trite talk and cursing. George Washington even spoke of fearing using the Lord's name in vain, simply by praying a meaningless and ineffectual prayer. This goes way beyond that in mocking talking to God. Anyone who thinks a prank such as this, During a Prayer. During a Church Service. Is Not spiritually mature enough to Lead. There are many Souls in that church. ALL who will spend Eternity, somewhere. Leaders are to be walk carefully, each step with guidance and discernment of The Holy Spirt.
Thats the reason why you dont lead worship if you are not consecrated in the Word of God.
Arkansas sums it up total.......blasphemy is all around us.....souls are perishing more and more.....i pray for them to be truely convicted of thier grievious sins by the Holy Ghost a deep seates conviction as to the wrong in what they are saying....mercy up all the souls that being led astray by those who are truely lost and in serious need of repentance and true salvation through our Lord and Savior. We pray for all of them and be the example to and for them.
The worship leader clearly is egotistical, insecure and envious of the pastor, to impress and be centre stage.
