To be fair ancient gears usually only care about one fusion monster being out so you can swing really hard with it. If the deck functioned like lunalights who's main deck monsters only have a max of 2k attack and rely heavily on multiple fusions then I'd understand. I only say this cause Ancient gear barely feels hindered by the link rules. I just summon the one huge guy and try and break my opponents neck.

This also adds a new layer of hybridization since those “generic” link monsters not only further enable their home archetype’s play style but allows other archetypes to use new shenanigans.
I can't compete only off the fact of it having too weak of a attack (500). Using Fire Lake stings and is more effective now but we are still getting more removal for such shenanigans (The new Trunade card) and Ash Blossoms is still a issue which most likely wont receive and ban like her other hand trap sisters.

The fact that break sword is destroyed by a card effect allows me to summon dark requiem indirectly the same turn. For this i already need a normal summon. Yes I will be able to destroy 1 card on my opps field, but that won't pop break sword... As for the fact of summoning BS 1st, well, i need 1 normal summon for this guy and 1 normal summon for break sword so i can't... :(

they are good cards, but because it requires you to run bricky shit they are just "alright", if you didnt have to run bricky shit, they would be Amazing♪. Now just to wait another three years until we get a armed dragon retrained that can be used by the new spell Ojama Abc aint even bad tho

Besides, the deck will probably be better in the tcg since we have diagram still at three so the true king version is actually playable.
B.A. honestly cant be nerfed anymore without being shit, and cant be buffed too much or theyll be amazing, so i dont think theyll ever fall out of relevance. But i like that. They're just a generally good deck.

I thought that the BA support was going to use dark fiend monsters as link materials, making it also usable in DDD... Im dissapointed just because of that (have a friend who plays ddd), though it still works for pkfire (some argue the best version of the deck) so that's a plus to BA players.

Oh hell no: could you imagine everyone using the predaplant-engine and run this mofo to get protected by boardwhipes and even thin out the deck by sending the remaining plants in the grave? You could even use this thing as a replacement for Last Resort when you're playing Sleeper
Seeing that a lot of decks are basically dead unless they run the brilliant/predaplant engine they're probably going to keep releasing these kind of links to make things easier.

Not quite true. Slifer the Sky Dragon's "illegal" printing (the one where it has text like a normal monster) has a red border rather than orange like effect monsters.
The Link border goes really well with cards like the Cyberse and Vullet/Varret. It's just the contrast between this card's art and the border, and Links don't look like Rituals at all.
