Love this! Great idea for recycling when you have a picture frame with broken glass: Don't chuck the frame... Just repurpose it into a bead board!
Absolutely!!! :-)
Love it. Will be getting framed at the dollar store.
Such a budget-friendly beading-hack!! :-)
Love love love, this is brilliant.
I should be able to find a picture frame somewhere in the house.
Thank you for sharing
Thank you💖 We are happy that you love it & that you are going to try this out!
Excellent idea!! Thanks, Leah, for sharing this hack with us.
Glad you liked it, Sue!!!
Great idea! I love budget projects!
(Me, too!!!) :-)
Love it!! TFS!! I’m going to try this. I happened to have a vellux blanket I didn’t like and I’ve cut it into many beading mats and have put them inside a low box lid. Very cheap. I’ve heard of people doing it inside cookie sheets too from the thrift or dollar stores.
Glad you love it, Becky!!
Now, why didn't I think of this? What a great idea and problem solver! Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad you liked it! Enjoy!!
You can do this with a painting canvas from Michael's or A.C. Moore too. That's what I do. Just turn it upside down and put the beading mat in the indentation of the back of the canvas. So easy to do.
Great take on it, Dana!
So simple yet so useful. thank you
Glad you liked the video!!
Thank you this was a great idea I've been wanting a beadboard now I can make my own.
I love using mine! :-)
Great tip! Last year I made a bead board out of a cheap unfinished wood picture frame, scrap plywood (for the base), ultrasuede remnants, quilt batting to pad the base and frame, and part of an old Vellux blanket. For kicks, I covered the bottom with skid-resistant fine chenille upholstery fabric, wrapped the sides with fancy ribbon and covered the seam between the frame and sides with braided rayon cording. My bead board took a bit longer to make, but it turned out gorgeous and cost under $5 to make. All those scraps I've kept around to use "someday" finally came in handy!😃 😉
Sounds amazing Abby!!!!
I will try this. I already got some possible fabric and I might make my own frame.
Go for it!
Great idea!!
Thank you! 😊

I made the bead board with 8 x 10 frame and bead mat. I love it. I just finished it :)
That is awesome! 💖
This is absolutely awesome!!!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
That's a neat idea! If you like something with taller edges, I found these plastic serving platters at Walmart last year. They are round with about an inch tall edge. They were only a $1 in different colors. I just cut out the bead mat material I was using and glued it in. I can't post a picture in the comments unfortunately. The dollar stores always have trays you could use also.
Thanks for sharing, Karla!!

Thanks Susan!
Good idea
Thank you!
It seriously took me over 60 seconds to realize she was not going to magically turn that $1 8x10 frame into beadboard *wall paneling* LOL 🤦🏾♀️
Lol! No just a nice surface to bead on, I didn't even know there was such as thing as beadboard wall paneling!
Hot glue also all in back.
Yes that definitely helps! 💖 Thanks for watching!
