The scene of Thorfinn reuniting with his mother can really get some people emotional. After the pandemic, I went with my girlfriend to visit my parents without them knowing that I was going and it was a very special moment as a family and a few tears came out. ❤
Helga wasn’t really surprised to hear Thorfinns story. She grew up as the daughter of the leader of the jormsvikings and is the niece of Thorkell. She’s just glad Thorfinn learned like Thors of the reality of being a warrior.

I liked the new hair without the beard, I think now he has the appearance corresponding to his age (he looked so much older in my opinion) and it gives an air of renewal to this new phase of his life, leaving the farm look back.
I started the manga last week and I legit couldn't understand how the whole story is literally peak. That's how good it is. It also became surprisingly really funny, which was nice after a depressing two seasons.
After the "I have no enemies" episode I started reading the manga bc I couldn't wait for what happens after that 😂 I was glad how they animated everything especially in episode 23. MAPPA was able to elevate the scenes with all the colors and music, and even added a few more (like Pater's moment at the end, I really liked it so much).

He didn't want to shave his beard, since in his culture it's shameful for a men to not have a beard. But his sister shave it off while he was sleeping. After being laugh at, Einar say he looks less threatening. When he heard that, he decide to stay beardless. Which highlight where Thorfinn values are.
I'm kinda curious about Leif tbh. I know it was his guilt over the situation with Thors death that made him vow to find Thorfinn and bring him home. But going further then this... maybe its just cos he is a sound guy and likes the idea (and hell, being the primary trader with a new colony in a new world could well be very profitable) but I do wonder if theres something more there. He seems to devoted to Thorfinn and Thors, makes me wonder if Thor's saved his life at some point and so he feels he owes a debt to help Thors build Vinland (and by proxy, help Thorfinn build Vinland.) Also, I can't help but think that new look Thorfinn... looks like Canute.

I wouldn't say he is accomplished, he certainly doesn't see it that way too. Besides the fact that he dreams of creating a peaceful country in Vinland, his life has just started. He has a lot to atone for. His sinful history will continue to haunt him as you'll see, the real struggle starts now. Will he be able to resist all temptetations and traps in his road of atonement. He is finally on the right track, but the path ahead might be even harder, but in a different way. Wether you are religious or not, a person who's sinned so much, by spreading death and hatred cannot stay a normal person. And the more of those horrible things he has committed, the harder it will be to pull out those thorns out of his heart. PS: They didn't animate the scene where his sister cuts his hair :( Cutest moment

There was. I assume if it's being kept it'll be moved to the start of the next season. Similar to how they shifted the scene where Thorfinn and Einar call each other brother and make their plan to go to Vinland got moved to after the talk with Canute, instead of before like the manga.
